Hi, the video is not disclosed. There is no mention of sponsorship in title or description!
Main reason is the tires will quickly get wore out if theres no differential.
Hii
Not opening!
😮
I like how you did the sponsor just mentioning them at start and end and integrating there product in a non-obnoxious way is much better for the shorts format then a traditional sponsorship ad
e: thanks for all the likes
yes... "there" product is we'll thot threw inn deed 🥴🤣
Sponsorships should be properly disclosed in my opinion
@@theownmages "Werbevideo" ;)
@@theownmagesI agree, people used to write hashtag ads, or properly wrote this in description. This video is off youtubes rules.
@@sicstarThe video is not disclosed
Axle will probably not just snap, but you can get tire noise, hopping, and skidding when turning. The tires getting worn fast is a bigger problem than snapping.
Was coming to say this. Have a Detroit locker in the rear of my 87 K20 Silverado... Sometimes it doesn't like to unlock right away, and I have yet to snap an axel, but everything else you said. Hopping, skipping, and squealing. Original axles.
@@VulcanGoF you probably don't over abuse it either. Try driving in reverse anywhere from 10 to 20 feet next time you unlock it. That's what i had to do with my 85 Chevy.
I was also going to say this. If the axle would snap than why do gocarts not have a differential? It's more to prevent skid outs, reduce tire wear, and improve traction thing.
@@uncreative7774 coincidence? I am currently building a go kart with a limited slip diff. My biggest issue is stopping. Wheels and tires from a Chevy s10. It's 7 feet long and from outer edge of tires is 42 inches wide with a 21hp engine. Scary fast!
my spider gears in my jeep are welded together and can confirm my axles have not snapped but let me tell you it gets good traction on mud.
Whoever came up with this was a genuine genius
This actually helped me understand how a differential works pol
Me with a welded diff 😅
Same gotta love that tire skip on tight turns
Me three
@@jackterjack4010 haha I just like the constant slidey slide action that scares people 🤣
@@Wtrxprs007able very dangerous (and probably illegal). Please don’t drive on public roads with an open diff.
@@beanapprentice1687I’m guessing you meant “don’t drive on public road with *locked/welded* diffs” our local police crown Vics had locked diff from the factory, and they were pretty safe, I do have to say the confort of a locked diff might not be the best tho
I mean the axle wont really snap lol but otherwise yeah this is cool
Just a bit of tyre wear
@@tanmayvadhera4250 and a sick drift
The axle won't snap without a differential. Most four wheelers don't have differentials, and plenty of car owners purposely weld their differential to incurage drifting. The differential just makes turning easier.
It would turn the corner without a diff and the axle wouldnt snap, the wheels would just wear out more and you'd be more likely to lose grip
I love these videos so much. Things are always so much simpler in design than you'd expect, and yet if I tried to design something like this it'd probably have a hundred more moving parts.
The axle won't snap. The differential was actually made to make the handling of a car better. It puts more power to the wheel with the most resistance. Because of that if you have a differential it will handle better around corners and cause less wear on the tires. Differentials can also help in off-road situations or on poor roads because it will provide power to the wheel with grip. A lot of people in the drag racing community weld their differentials or get solid axles so they can have a more even distribution of power. A solid axle is still street legal and will only cause excess wear on a tire.
The Lego Ford Ranger has one that you build as well!
The axle wouldn’t snap, in a scenario where there is no diff and just a straight through axle the tires will break loose before the axle has enough stress on it. On the other hand with something like a welded diff the gears would take all the stress and break
Bro you’re an awesome teacher , I can’t get enough of your stuff. God bless you for doing this (even though it’s probably a blast) thank you so much
bro you're a savior I've been wanting to build a go kart with a lawnmower engine and wanted to put a differential
Amaizing, just amaizing. That's because I know exactly what I was looking for ;)
Well done, thanks for you time and all the efforts you're putting on to share knowledge and or excellent practical-theory. Excellent
Axle will not snap. I weld in my spider gears together in my Dana 60 20,000 miles ago. They are still good.
Also present in the majority of front wheel drive transmission's.
Thats a transaxle, works a little differently.
As someone that’s welded a few diff’s, nothing is snapping except necks as you’re drifting through corners
Haha, nicely done!
Open differential..... I just upgraded to a limited slip ❤️thanks for the information
basically, if there is a force that slows down one while, the other wheel will be faster instead.
Me drifting every corner with a welded diff🦅💥
Vilebrequin, voilà l'explication tant attendue ^^
Now you gotta make a limited slip differential. A Torsen LSD is probably the best way to go, less parts than a normal one, and probably more forgiving when it comes to tolerances
Best channel on yt!
One of the best youtube channels ❤
Dude, this is sick.
The axles won't snap. In fact, you can have more fun if you weld the two spider gears together. My drift car has been running like this for years
Looks like a really strong carrier! hehe
The axle wont just snap, it'll look sick then it'll snap.😂
Driving something with a welded diff is interesting
The axles will most likely not snap.... rather just one of the wheels will spin
Now do a limited slip differential.
Anti clockwise?!
British
He is British but lives in the US I think
Anti-literate.
We 'Mericans say counterclockwise 🇺🇲 lol
@@adamcolbertmusic ah! Thanks for the translation, I couldn't see what the poster's problem was.
Fun fact, you can hear the problem yourself when ciry rramways turn sharply. Most trams here have no differentials but a joint axle on their non-driven wheels, and when they turn, the speed difference causes the inner one to slip and screetch loudly.
Anti- is "against and never changing", where reverse is "the opposite/counter of." (Clockwise... Anti clockwise means it will never reverse.. )
😮😮😮😮😮 amazing job!
I’m building the new Lego Ford GT set and I saw how they recreated this design with Technic pieces. Damn is it cool
❤ thank you for information ☺️
Still remember buying some Lego Technic vehicles, and most of them had these.
I have many metal spider gears and ring and pinion gears. Even have housings for them and Axels :)
Nice engineer
The axel won't snap, the tires just wear out faster.
Whoever came up with the design for the rear diff was really, really clever
This was v helpful
Can't turn corners?
Well Boys...
Time to start Drifting
Snap or skip, the axel will find a way to follow your commands weather you like the results or not
humans are awesome.
I learnt from Lego and I hoped you would go in to mechanics more
Watch our long form content
💯%!
Nice model
That’s too cool. Are there any products like this for kids to help them get an interest in engineering or the STEM field as a whole?
I doubt the axle would snap. You'd just have to always drift around corners though.
I’ve never heard of a axel snapping before but I know that your wheels will scream when you turn if you don’t have a diff. The alternative that car manufacturers had was extraordinary.
before the diff was invented, cars were made with 1 wheel drive to fix the problem, but all it did was give you shitty traction to anything and bad gas mileage.
Could you design a tandem diff set with the first having a powerdivider?
Now let’s do the Limited Differential!
yes, pcbway I know it 👍
Axel won't snap, the tires will just skid/hop
Weld it
My axle hasn't snapped yet
Nice 🔥😍
Ha. Like welding a spider gear has never stopped me before!
you can take corners with a welded/locked differential without the axel snapping, what will happen is your turn radius is bad
This is not a REAR differential. It is simply a differential. It can be rear, front, center or all 3 together ;)
You can do corners, you just have do drift.
Trust I know, if you have ever owned a awd with a locking differential specially you will eat a set of tires off your car in days on dry pavement even with it not on you have to rotate them from front to back to keep the fronts from wearing 4x plus faster than the rears.
Dependent and independent RWD
or you can use a heavier axle and stomp on the gas and burn rubber when making turns.
WELD ITTTTTT, BURNOUT BBY
Nice
I learned this from lego ^^
A solid axle does not break, the perfect example of this are drift cars.😂😂
When a car turns, one wheel doesn't come to a complete stop.
I like my diff welded
Drifting solves the problem
Drifters watching this like: sure mate
wow is so cool
The axle wont snap if you have a locked diff. Look at drift cars! Those have welded diff and theyr axles almost never snap
The Axel won't snap the wheels Word drift and lose traction as well as they would wäre out much faster
Anti clockwise? This got me😂
Anti clockwise = UK English
Counter clockwise = US English
Pcbway just seems like the best sponsor possible. Getting free or discounted services from them sounds soo good
👍🏻 Or a Meccano set
Cool.
I just realised that if I got a 3d printer I would never need to buy rc car spares again
To demonstrate a differential with wheels, you might want it to roll on the ground, the wheels are too small, and you can’t roll this because the gears are larger… to help people understand the behavior, perhaps you might want to either reduce the gear size or make the wheels larger… nice 3D print.
Please can you create a airpod PCB for me.
OR
Make a video on how to design a pcbway
What happens when you just turn the gears attahced to the wheels? Does the transmission axle spin?
What about a 4x4 car? Could you please make a video explaining that? 😁
Same with the front axle as well. And the best 4x4s have locking differential options where you can chose to lock the differentials for better obstacle clearing
The axle won't snap but your tires will hate you
Have you heard of drifting?
Axles don't just snap
Wow nice but i can do nothing
yo should explain why we use bevel gear
See the full version of video
"can't turn corners, and the axle will just snap". Everyone with a welded diff would like to talk to you. Yes you can't turn as tight, and there is a higher risk of breaking. But nothing is 100%
the seamless loop though...
هاذا جميل ورائع
If I download the files, the dimensions will remain the same or i have to change it?
Самое интересное, когда одно колесо попадает на лёд, а второе остается на асфальте
I doubt the axle would snap
Only problem is when your left wheel loses grip it will get all the engine power and the right wheel none.
the axle won't actually snap I have driven a car with a welded diff it just skips round corners
Just build mine my self
