- During the minecraft live, the next official minecraft update called '' Caves and Cliffs '' was revealed. In this video I show all the news (gameplays) that were shown during the live. The update features new mobs (Goats, Axolotls, new hostile mob), new blocks, ores, items and more.

This is insane to me, it feels EXACTLY like modded minecraft, but in a good way, I think it’s safe to say this will be the the BIGGEST update in minecraft history content size and impact aswell, can’t wait!

They just made Minecraft into a horror game. I did look it up and I think they only spawn in the new deep dark biome so as long as you avoid that you can go normal caving
And now lets hope they don't ad a nother horror fuel mob that lives in caves

I'm legitimately crying after seeing this. I got minecraft way back in 2011 when brewing was the big new thing. It's crazy to see how far the game has come since then.

Sky update
The next few updates have been confirmed NOT to be sky updates, and here’s why:
1. Mojang needs to upgrade other parts of the game first. The Village and Pillage Update, Aquatic Update, and Bug Fix Update came before 1.16’s Nether Update because the Overworld is more explored than the Nether. They want to fully fledge out the base game before updates that add things arrive.
A list of updates that will most likely come before the Sky Update:
* The Farming Update (Farming has been outdated for a while, with only Melons, Carrots, Pumpkins, Potatoes, Beetroot, Bamboo, and Wheat.)
* (Maybe) The Updated Combat Update (Combat has been hated for a while because now the person with the highest CPS doesn’t win and now people need to time their attacks. However, Mojang has no obligation to change combat back to whoever clicks the fastest wins.)
* The Seasonal Update (Is a possibility, though very unlikely. Could possibly cause different “special” variants of mobs to spawn, correlating to [Spring, Summer, Fall/Autumn, and Winter]. May even dictate weather patterns, such as snow.)
* The Fishing Update (Extremely likely. With overhauls to trading, a massive bug fix, an entire dimension, caves (which can count as half of the overworld), and the entire ocean, fishing seems out of date and could use some spicing up, to fit in with the current game.)
* The Weather Update (Unlikely, may add more weather in, such as hail, acid rain (In real life acid rain isn’t that corrosive, and can just damage the player), sleet, wind, etc.)
* The Brewing Overhaul (Probable, potion brewing is beginning to feel boring, as it’s just “Add blaze powder, water bottle, and nether wart + a few other ingredients and wait a bit in between, and then you’re done”. May also add more witch variation, and maybe wizards which could lead to:)
* The Spell Update (Most likely to come after 1.30) (Let’s be honest, this will be one of the hardest updates to make and isn’t coming anytime soon).
* The Terrain Update (Sandstorms, Snowstorms, Thunderstorms. Let’s go over them:
Sandstorms: Reduces visibility to ~3 chunks nearby, can possibly damage the player. Only occurs in dry/hot biomes.
Snowstorms: Reduces visibility to ~3 chunks nearby, can also possibly damage the player with the new “powdered snow” mechanic.
Thunderstorms: Darkens cloud textures, and lightning occurs more often than normal.
2. Everybody wanted something unitedly in the past, hence why Mojang made the Cave Update. Now it seems people want the End Update more than the Sky Update, so odds are if the End Update people have louder voices, the Sky Update isn’t coming.
3. Number 1 literally devolved into a wishlist halfway through, sorry. Anyway, 3: What new things can be added. Mojang most likely won’t add something if it will only appeal to a small percentage of players. Remember, most people don’t have amazing PCs, so it has to be something their computers can handle. With the caves and cliffs update, I don’t know how it will work.

I made a LONG list of stuff, just remember that not all of that is likely before a sky update, just a few more updates that update the base game

Imagine... more birds! What about eagles that swoop up small prey like wolf cubs, kittens, fox cubs, chickens, and all kind of small animals! But will only grab them when they are in an open area.
I also thing mojang should update older mobs like wolves. But back so bird stuff-
Crows can sometimes steal meat that you throw on the ground or just any food.
what about owls? Also pick up your small animals but you wont be able to hear then since owls fly silenly.

Bro, the warden is much much stronger than the iron golem. In a video, it is even shown to defeat the wither, if it does not fly away. So, it's gonna be really terrifying. Even, we cannot stack up three blocks to kill it as it can break blocks beneath the player. So, it is now actually a underworld king in Minecraft.

@@adityabhalekar3506 Well, you can actually explore caves, since the warden will be present only in the deepest portion. And even if you encounter a warden, you can just sneak away, or distract it by throwing an arrow and run away. The warden is actually made to terrify people as they said in the Minecraft livestream.

Everyone doesn’t know what they want for the next update so here’s my idea.
End Update:
- Ability to hatch the dragon egg and tame it (I mean notch himself said he wanted there to be pet dragons)
- New flora
- New Passive/Neutral mobs
- Some sort of ore
- New potions that are End Related
- New enchantments
- Maybe a new mini boss (something like the Elder Guardian)
- Possibly new weapons
- Dragon fireballs (like the ones that come out of the Enderdragons mouth and can be collected with a bottle) but they can be crafted.
- New blocks

Fun fact2: copper is the only metal that can be shaped as slabs and stairs and can be polished, but not as armor or tools
I really like how starting with the aquatic update, Minecraft has slowly been updating all large areas and becoming a totally different game, while still keeping true to itself. First the ocean, then the nether, and now caves. I'm sure at some point we will be getting updates for the end, the skies, and various biomes in the overworld.

Archeology?! I would love to do it in real life and now I will be able to discover new cool secret items! Stalactites and stalagmites! Awesome mobs and caves! Epic mountains- for me, TOTALLY the best update in Minecraft history from what I saw during Minecon.

I remember back when mobs were added to minecraft I thought that was revolutionary(which it was) if only I knew where this game was going to be in a decade or two 😂 I know I'll be lost in the sea of comments but thank you so much for making and continuing to evolve minecraft it is so much more than a simple game it is an iconic staple of not only gaming but creative expression it has inspired so much and I honestly believe the world would be a darker place without it thank you mojang and everyone else involved 🙂

@@anitaremenarova6662 I literally built an air castle years ago that has a panic room in it with switches that activate defense mechanisms like flooding the whole area around the room with lava, shooting fireballs etc., just waiting for wireless redstone to connect the switches to the activators. Finally it will happen.

it is not a mod, it is the future version of the official minecraft. you can even find the first test versions (Snapshots) of 1.17 - Caves and Cliffs in the official launcher of the game.

this actually made me cry. the game is changing so much, and in ways that i feel distant from it, and recently i've been taking a break... but with this... minecraft has a new charm to it, new elements i've been wanting since i touched the game... i can't describe how happy this makes me...

It would be cool if they added a giant water monster that is in cave waters like if there’s enough space and water in a cave it should spawn and has a rare drop
I think Mojang wanted to add a mob that had something to do with the caves and cliffs update. I understand that the goat fills that category but here's how the other three could possibly fit into that category:
Moobloom: would walk around the mountains making flowers
Chilliger: would roam around the colder areas making ice
Glow squid: lives in the caves (underground lakes)
I think rumors are flying about the Glow Squid only spawning in the sea. There have been no mobs that spawn exclusively underground before. Aside from the Warden, but it spawns in only one underground biome.

Next update: sky dimension. I want things in the sky, maybe birds, hostile mobs, floating islands, flying ships, some interesting/fun lore thing, food that can grow only over the clouds, etc. I would think it would be cool that when you fall down from the sky dimension, that you then get spawned into the normal world at height 500 and then fall down there so you get the feeling that you were really high up. But then you'll probably get a short loading screen, like when you go into the Nether or back into the normal world.
Wow in a long time playing minecraft and watching it, it puts a tear in my eye a little bit.
