Years ago, when I was in basic training at Ft Leonard Wood (combat engineer), we were using air powered tools to cut wood and make a timber trestle bridge. Some of the practice wood was western red cedar logs. I kept some of the shavings and put them in a sock inside my wall locker. It made the thing smell great. My DI came in when I was working on it and smelled it. He asked me why I thought I could do that. I told him because I was not told I could not do it. He was like, good enough.

My mother in-law is a prime example. That was some nice looking cedar you have there. It must have smelled great milling it.
