I almost died laughing when I saw the Vortex drum on the repair bench. I just thrifted a Pyragon and a Praxis, starting another trip down the obscure ammo collection path.
Not going to lie, I am VERY tempted to gut a blaster, clean it thoroughly, and send it your way, saying there is a "rattling sound" only to have the blaster full of skittles XD I joke but love the content Captain!
I can't help picturing that Alien Menace blaster front end with the posts and any ARs removed, loaded with .50 cal foam balls, and stuck onto something with a lot of air volume... Like you said, make an absolver out of it. (Hmm...Would an 8-dart Mega XL absolver even be workable?)
Going with a Titan, because it’s the only thing that came to mind. I’m convinced that it would struggle because it’s huge and would have a lot of dead space. However, since people build things to fire other things, if you built your own air chamber then the sky’s the limit.
Its a shame the sci fi blaster line was so short lived. The Ravager, Incisor were gimmicky as hell but those shells are cool. My its just my 40k hyper fixation, but they'd have made for perfect Tyranid blasters. Bit more chitin than meaty but it'd work.
@@CaptainXavier True. Maybe it's not a bad idea to collect dimensions and conjure a database of gears that could be 3D printed to fix blasters(on printables or somewhere?) Maybe with the help of the Federation of United Nerfers discord server? I for instance have reverse engineered the design of lever gear from a Elite 2.0 Flip 32, as I had it crack in half.
It looks like a pretty simple shape to model. It's a shame the hobby doesn't have a central place for Nerf-related print files. If I want to see what's available for a certain blaster, I currently need to look on several websites.
Thank you for fixing my stuff, letting me use the maker space and helping with the spring upgrade on that Pharaoh.
Best wishes

Any time. It is literally why I built the place.
The rampage may be my favorite blaster ever.

You joke...but someone did this at JEBB.
@@CaptainXavier dangit, I was too slow on the draw! XD
Strip it for parts! Bangarang!
Flycore the Ravager shell!

You can always reprint the the gear it’s a simple fix, but it’s worth it
Is there a file for it out there?!
I've gotten better at repairing thrift store blasters, but not all of them can be saved. At least parts of them might live on!
Couldn't you just 3d print a new gear and fix the blaster?
I'd you had the file to print one, yes. I don't.

Yay for simple mag fixes! In a totally unrelated note, I might have to pull out ye ole vortex blasters for some shenanigans.
