Hey Harry! Just came across this video, almost moved to tears. I have been playing piano for a few years but have no theory knowledge, I learn from youtube videos! I’m a huge jazz fan and would love to be able to play as fluently as you one day. Do you think it’s possible to learn by oneself or would you recommend an experienced teacher? Look forward to hearing from you! :)
Dear Slipper, to learn to play the piano well, you need a lot of study time. Playing the piano is a difficult activity, which demands a lot from the body. The younger you are, the better. Learning to play the piano is best with a good teacher who is good at his teaching profession. Theory is absolutely necessary.
