You’re definitely doing pressure inward heels. You can’t say you don’t when everyone has seen it multiple times. It may feel real to you but it isn’t for literally everyone watching. People aren’t calling this out for no reason if you had a good inward heel no one would be talking about it
I’m more perplexed by the way he kickflips. He paddles the sole of his foot down. It looks as if he has a prosthetic leg because his ankle doesn’t bend.
That's the way he learned the tricks when he was a kid. Later, as an adult person, he couldn't fix it anymore, so he kept doing them the way he used to do. I kind of have a similar style (an ugly one) for the very same reason. I learned my ollies the wrong way, and I couldn't fix them later. My switch ollies are more stylish, more leveled out, and generally are better compared to my regular ones. I mostly do my tricks in nollie, because I can ride in my regular stance, but pop high and stuff.
@@chrispatton6303 mob is a lazy flick with some rocket. It's still using the side of your shoe. Jeff straight up paddles down the sole. Never seen anyone do kickflips like that before and I've been watching skate vids for 30 years.
totally agree about the changing boards/setups, it's so much more fun to have a variety. i also started skating regularly when 7.5" was the norm and 8.5" looked crazy, though i am old enough to remember having big old fish boards from the '80s too. i have 7.75-8.5" popsicles, though i'm liking the wider ones, and 9"+ on shapes. i thought it was a pressure flip at first glance. not that it would be a problem, pressure flips are cool.
Jef skates like he learnt his tricks from a book. Not a bad or good thing, just very unique. If you locked a none skater in a dungeon and told them they could only come out when they could make the board do a bs 180 + heelflip, it would most definitely end up like jeffs
It seems to me hardflips work basically the same way, you can use your front foot and flick really hard to make the board do the motion or you can pop really hard and just kind of have your foot in the right place. Think of like a muska flip vs a frontside flip. In the clip you showed of you doing inward heel you have to flick really hard to make the heel flip go that way, but Deawon and Jeffwon mostly just pop and slightly use the front foot. Your style makes the board stay more under you, while the other way the board goes out in front you and flips, you just have to land back on it.
I'm so glad you gave the big board a try and having fun. Ive been skating more in the last few years than I ever did after high school. Started riding big boards with big wheels because theyre great getting around but eventually started doing more with it and it was great fun
We needa normalize Jeff style with the “Jeff flop steez” basically a trick u land lower than where u popped it some examples “ 540 treyflop, nollie trippleflop, 360 inwardflop”
I can't believe how many comments I got on my video trying to say Jeff pressure flipped Tucsons 15 XD. I get it but regardless a pressure flip down a 15 stair is absolutely fucked and as a pressure flipper myself like you said the way Jeff flicked the flip was nothing close to a pressure flip. Pressure flip has to have the shoe wrapping around the scoop pressure with the other foot on the opposite side holding the board down creating the pressure that makes it flip. Thank you for breaking it down for all!! Really is not hard to see
@@bovedli Oh wait you can't do any tricks down 15 stairs you can only observe and make comments lol Jeff got buck and threw down while you sat around the house like a clown sorry fam I do not know what to tell you hopping down 15 stairs more than 5 times is more than impressive in itself

shocked its not pressure, but you convinced me. his style while still kinda bad, isnt nearly as bad as it use to be. there is almost a Jeremy Klein quality about it. but Klein makes the awkwardness look good
Ok I was curious if you were riding that big board. Glad to hear you're liking it, I've recently set up a big board (10.5) and am surprised with how much I'm liking it too.
Ehats crazy is you can see his tail actually landed on the 2nd atair, took all the impact with his rear wheels not even on the 1st stair. They then go onto the 1st stair and fire cracker down it.
I love the trick analysis dude! Sadly, we don't hear enough about the mechanics of tricks or how foot placement/pressure gets you crazy stuff like full flips and dolphin flips. Or maybe I'm just growing tired of the same kickflip/heelflip variations when there's way more actual trick selection out there. Lol
It is the equivalent of a terrible kicked down mob hardflip just backside. He sucks. I always hated the guy and his style with passion. It is what it is. Im not proud of it and not encouraging anyone to hate on Jeff’s skating, but I personally hate it. Everything he lands is terrible
As much as i support and love the guy. I think he does cheat a little but if you found a hack around a certain trick, Especially a hard trick like an inward heel flip, wouldnt you use it and abuse it too?
Hahaha I am shocked. I legit thought zero chance at inward heel. But I am convinced. It's a standard no pop, bad style inward heel. Sorry, nothing personal, just truth. Also, fight me, but Daewon's weren't very pretty either. Better, but not a proper looking one even like the ones you had filmed. Guess it is all in the technique. Also, I can't do it either way so who cares what I say, haha.
haha remember the kelly hart nine club thing and we were all planning to go to the nine club headquarters and beat kelly up but Rad Rat made a follow up video telling us not to beat kelly up
