Anchorage is incredible. Was there with my brothers in 2018. Was around my 30th also. Middle of July so the daylight tripped me out lol we went to the portage glacier day cruise but yours looked great also going by train. We got chartered by a bus with cool people. As you said many times you have to see it with your own eyes. We must have said that a thousand times too lol 49th state brewery had to the Halibut fish. Bar hopped downtown everywhere else. The reindeer dog stands and native people. Lit - glad y’all boys went!
I hope you don’t mind Que, but I took a small part of your Seward whale cruise to put into my things to do in Seward, AK. I did mention your channel as a source on it. Great video by the way! I love seeing the happy faces on tourists when they visit my home state of Alaska! 😊👍
You said it Q, "the camera doesn't do Alaska justice." I recall mentioning that to you as well when I saw some of the behind the scenes footage. The visuals looked amazing and you pulled off a lot of activities in such a short time. You are the King of pulling off dope vacations on short notice with minimal days. Although many of us couldn't be there with you and Pat to enjoy, appreciate, and marvel at what Alaska has to offer; thank you for continuing to put videos together to put places like this into perspective. I wish I could have been there with you two but duty calls as you said and they have us on restricted movement in the Middle East.

I think John Muir says it best, "never go to Alaska as a young man because you'll never be satisfied with any other place as long as you live.."

I honestly have those “wow God” moments when traveling and Alaska was no different! He’s SO awesome! As far as the water... it was so fresh and good. I can’t lie lol And the yak burger was good and huge as you saw. After eating half you do realize that it is not cow. So ehhh.. I only ate half lol

We only visited Anchorage. We drove to a city called Whittier but there wasn’t much to do. That’s where the ships dock for tours. We also visited a town called Palmer to walk on that beautiful glacier. We would’ve driven a lot more if we planned to stay more days. But honestly Anchorage was enough for me to want to visit Alaska again next summer.

Hey hey!!! First to all, thanks for watching. We got our rental from Hertz rental downtown. The rate was about $105 a day (including taxes). We also stay at a the Voyager Inn for about $119 a night.
A few moments later....we decided to rent a car. Lol I got a good laugh out of that. When I saw the moose coming toward you I was thinking “Umm, that could be dangerous.” But I’ll bet you will tell that story with a beer in your hands in the future laughing historically. And FYI there are no snakes in Alaska. They can’t handle the winters. Just watch out for the bears and moose. 😊

I think May is a great time to go as far as weather and daylight is concerned. Anchorage is a good central location. It has the city vibe which I liked because I’m a city boy, but it also gave me real Alaska with nature, parks, glaciers and hikes. Each little town we drove to only took about an hour each. The scenic drive makes it seem shorter.
God is the best artist! If you are looking for another trip, Big Bend National park in south west Texas, go in spring. We are headed to alaska next May. I work my butt off so I can afford to see places like this :)
