Hi kunaal, I have a difficult calculation can you please help me on this. In this calculation I want to sum amount if it’s been spent on same purpose by different persons. Spent reason and names are in two different columns. For example column A contains names like Raj, Mohit, Amir, etc & column B contains amounts and column C contains different spent reasons and my query is to sum the spent of a particular reason made by all of the persons names mentioned in column A
Hi there! Great video! I do have a question. Can sumifs be used with a date in place of the text? I am an accountant that reconciles accounts on a daily basis. I am trying to create a a formula that will give me my balance based off of a date that I enter. I also have a query that runs my dashboard. So all of the balances on this page are there because of the query. I am not sure if any of that makes a difference as I am new to google sheets and trying to learn it. Thank you in advance for your help!
Thanks for this! But it doesnt seem to work when SUMIFS are in single column. Say I have Sites 1 - 5 and I want the sum of only Site 1 and 2. This formula: =SUMIFS(sum_range, range_col_A, "Site 1", range_colA, "Site 2") does not work. :( I had to do the sum of two sumif for this. Please let me know your suggestions?
Unfortunately, it gets tricky with 2 Criteria. You are doing it the right way. The other way is using Sumproduct, which is more complicated. It can be used. Ensure the date is in a "date format". If you can send me a sample, I can show you how to create it. send to fxexcel@gmail.com
@@KunaalNaik thank you so much. I will email it over in a bit.
