Kickass horror movie I watch it 3 times, and everytime I picked up something new. Awesome movie 5 stars handsdown.
The drug analogy is excellent, as it DOES feel amazing, but it looks like it's ravaging your body to bystanders (and, well, it is). And especially when you are young, you're not taking it seriously like you should. Then one person who is inexperienced tries it and it all goes to hell in one hit.

The directors and writers really rejuvenated a genre teetering on death. One of the smartest moves A24 has done is buy this and distribute it.
It’s not by A24. It’s by brothers who started on TH-cam. Their channel is rackaracka. A24 only bought it. After it was already made.
The movie is AWESOME the fact the 2 boys put so much into it, the fact A24 bought it speaks volumes ! Fair play to RackaRacka
The beautiful rendition of Chandelier by Sia was phenomenal, especially the transition from being angry to absolutely belting it out 😂
Also, it was mias mom at first in Riley. But as soon as mias hand touched him, that’s when he started choking. Because the spirit in Mia took over. And that’s why Mia’s ‘mom’ kept looking worse and worse every time. Because the foot sucking lady couldn’t keep the imitation very long.

Just watched this the other day. It was the first horror movie in a while to get a genuine reaction out of my. Wasn't scared more just a wtf this is crazy, and the acting is so good. I was getting so stressed about every interaction towards the end, so good.

This entire movie made me hate the main character so god damn much, I hated everyone at that party… don’t get me wrong 12/10 movie, but Jesus I hated their decisions😭her mommy issues had me soo angryyyyy

Definitely in my top 5 horror movies of all time. One of my top 25 films of all time. It’s so unique and I adore the fuck out of this movie. So special. This year has had some of the best movies of all time and this is just a flip note of the year
You should check out “Poltergeist” or “The Ring” next!! 😁
Danny and Michael mentioned in an interview that the "hell" scene was about 2 and a half minutes initially but had to be cut down to get an R rating, makes you think what the hell they cut out

For reference, A24 just bought the movie. It was completely filmed and edited by the RakkaRakka boys before A24 even saw it! They did such a good job and this was easily the best horror film of 2023.

Nice Reaction! For another movie recommendation, you should definitely check out Possessor. It's kind of like a sci-fi horror movie and it's really messed up film.
Mike just to let you know it was not a a24 movie. a24 bought it after festival run. the youtuber brothers and friends made it and then it got word of mouth and got into festivals and a24 purchased it.
Another great reaction from our boy! I agree that those kids at the little demon possession party were awful. If your friends start laughing when you're choking with your eyes rolled back you should probably get some new friends!

to me unsettling is scary. any movie that unsettles me is one i consider scary. so what kind of things are scary in your opinion? if you don’t mind my asking.

This movie is one of those experiences you go through once and never want to do it again. What a good movie
