    This is only the second brown trout I've carved.
    The first one I carved was about two years ago.
    So we'll see how far I've come when we see the difference between that one and this one when I finish.

      I’m glad you enjoyed it. It was a little longer than I anticipated but I had a lot of content for this one. The next one should be back to normal. I may do a live stream sometime maybe when I hit 2000 subscribers I’ll try. But thanks for following and watching I really appreciate it

    Great Video as always, Danny. I especially liked that you showed things don't always go as planned. Mistakes happen and they need to be fixed. Great job!

    You do beautiful work! I subscribed after seeing one video. I started Dremel carving last year and have moved on to include bigger tools for carving. Soon I'll be learning to use a chainsaw. I love power carving, and I know watching your channel is going to help me so much . Thank you for sharing your videos and skills!😊👍

      Thank you for watching and subscribing! I’m happy to help. I just started carving a little over 3 years ago and started off with a dremel and a few bits. But eventually moved on to Foredom and just recently added a Marathon High speed rotary tool to my workflow which is great for detail.
      Haven’t tried chainsaw carving yet but I have a big elm that I’m planning on cutting down and I’m thinking of leaving a tall stump and attempt an eagle with a trout in its talons

      @@Danny_Harris-Arts The Foredom and high speed tools are both things I think I'll eventually get, because they seem like amazing tools. Your carvings are amazing, especially for starting just three years ago!🤯 You do beautiful work. I'm excited to learn chainsaw. I want to be able to block out bigger carvings, but also just had three big willow trees felled in my yard. So lots of practice material to work with to learn the chainsaw, die grinder and angle grinder I recently added to my toolbox. I don't particularly like willow wood, but it's free and there's a lot of it! Lol 😂😅😅
      If you do end up carving up your tree, that would be awesome to see on video. I know I'll be a regular viewer of whatever you're uploading.👍

    Excellent detail, Danny. That is a fine-looking fish! I liked your idea for the right pec fin attachment. Very clever. FYI - the nostrils are called "nares." Just learned that myself a few months ago. I believe the detail you putting into your fish will pay dividends at the World Championships!

    • @Danny_Harris-Arts
      @Danny_Harris-Arts  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you. Yeah I knew that in the back of my mind just so used to thinking nostril when I carve them. Nare actually means nostril but on a fish They are strictly for smelling and not breathing .
      I hope they do well in the competition. I’ll be doing a video or two covering the week I’m there.
