Ruby is really one of the main stars this Season 3. Her character development is astonishing. I hope the series gets renewed, so we can see her again, and many of her.

I am SO GLAD people are seeing now Ruby like i've seen her the entire time. Kind and lovely. This is why i love people like her. I'm not mad at Otis for not saying I love you back bc he didn't, and it was better than him saying it and not meaning it. But one thing that infuriated me was how much he said "I really like you a lot" & "I want to get to know you better" but then goes back and shoves his tongue down Maeve's throat. Makes me wonder if he even had feelings for Ruby in the first place.
I think it's maeve said to otis that he's not the type tht stay in a casual relationship and otis then asked his mom abt him being in what type of relatiomship. And his mom said he's the type that seek deeper or special connection in relationship. That's when otis asked ruby to know her better. But things went too quickly for him i think. For real I think the writers wanted to make Otis and Ruby being like Otis and Ola but the true is that many people are shipping them now and want them to be endgame (including me).
This was the best montage of her I've seen. Damn. He got her to open up and show her vulnerability, and then....didn't share her feelings and then Ruby sees Otis and Maeve together on the trip. You could actually SEE her heart crush. Anyone of any gender who's ever had that happen at any point in their life, whether happy NOW or not, has to completely understand and sympathize. When you give your whole heart to someone and they don't return your feelings there's only a handful of things that feel worse.
s3 was ironic…Ruby was trying to change Otis’s walk, his style, the way he does things, but the whole time it was Ruby who changed, and it was the best thing that had happened in s3
I REALLY REALLY hope that the writers of the show are seeing how all of us are over Otis and Maeve and are pushing for Otis and Ruby to be a couple. The relationship they had on the show works so well together and in my opinion, better than what he had with Maeve.
Ruby deserves alot more in Season 4. Her character development beside Adam was so good it was the best character development I've seen since Santana Lopez in Glee and that's a long time. They better not just let her have her one season now and barely even show in season 4. I think season 4 Is also a good chance for her too because Maeve is in America. The writing on this show is amazing. There are hints all over. You barely notice them. Ruby said that all nerdy boys are in love with her. Eventually, she's the one who fell for Otis. It's so ironic. Make it happen. Otis and Ruby endgame.
I loved her with Otis and I wasn't expecting really loving them and wanted them to stay in the relationship... But I hope for season 4 she gets a boy who will love her or really like her back... Because even though they were really cute, if Otis doesn't like her and truly loves somebody else, then Ruby deserves that same thing with somebody who will feel the same thing.

In s1 we see that she is just another mean spoiled girl who cares about herself to protect her identity. S2 shows what she is dealing with and in s3 we see that she is truly a nice girl helping out her parents. Otis played a part in this reminding her to reach out ans open. Her character has developed within the past season and honestly so sad to see someone open up and be vulnerable and get rejected like that. I really wish ruby isn’t thrown aside as a side character in s4 now but that she gets the ending she deserve, hopefully with Otis

So love triangles are the classic rom com tropes and the series looks like its setting that up -- Otis, Maves, Ruby - Eric, Adam, Rahim. The writers of Sex Education love putting their spin on classic tropes and I look forward to seeing what they do with these characters.
As someone Who really relates to ruby I'm happy they broke up, you learn to read when people should take a distance, when you open yourself to someone you really put all your tools on the table, but once you feel they are weakening your wall you put a second line of bricks for your own good, you already know they might not be good for you, even if it hurts is better to let go and face reality. Ruby might have loved Otis, but she probably knew he was not going to love her even with time
Hope s4 they’ll somehow be back and solve the uncertainties their relationship got after ep5, for me it didn’t get a defined break up, it was obvious she still was in love with him and Otis really like her, he was just not ready, i mean, like he said, he’d take his time to say “i love you” and he wasn’t ready for that, he’s in love with Maeve and maybe, with Maeve traveling to US, their relationship can grow up again but idk, if they are not going to be endgame id think it’d be good to see Ruby with heartbroken again... Even that i love to see them as a couple, i mean, REALLY, I rewatched season 1,2 and then s3 at once and it was so nice to see their dynamic. I like Motis but it’s like I can’t think of this ship anymore
Saddest thing about this season was when Anwar and Olivia came to Ruby’s house after the breakup to comfort her, first time she ever invited them over and it was because she really needed them there.

what the heeell! watching this after having finished s3 I was thinking "wait, I don't remember that scene" a few times and I thought it might have been deleted scenes or so but than I realized I just SKIPPED s3e4! soo that's why i was so confused at the begining of e5 that otis and ruby are just not together anymore without any further explanation lul
Honesty what made me fall in love with them wasn't just the chemistry or the bowling scene - it was the scene with Ruby's dad. We finally got to see past her facet and see how she really felt about Otis. Ruby's dad talking about how he finally got to see the famous Otis, and how he was really happy Ruby has been happy ever since they started dating. Honestly this feels like Ruby had always been interested in Otis, but her defensive mechanism has always been pushing Otis away. I wished they had explored his part of their relationship instead of ending it soo soon. Like if you really think about it, this relationship mostly had a lot of chemistry but for the most part had a lot of element of toxicity. But with each passing episode, we saw the potential. She stopped caring what other people thought, she stopped trying to change Otis and she fully started accepting Otis. Episode 3 was soo hurtful for me, considering all the build up and ending on such a sad note. Like I get it, from Otis POV, I too would not have said I love you then. Cause he never got to see the real her till then -- She was always rude to his family and friends. Like the fact that he didn't address it properly and pretended like it didn't happen was probably what hurt her the most. But considering they are portraying high schoolers, I get it they didn't have the maturity to handle such things better. From a writer standpoint, seeing how people loved Ruby and Otis in season 2, they probably wanted to test the reaction in this season. But I don't think even the writers would have anticipated the reception of this relationship. Maybe the writers may have shoehorn themselves not giving the Maeve and Otis relationship earlier. Like it almost starting to feel like Otis and Maeve is a plot device for Ruby and Otis, where when he finally accepts that he rather keep Maeve as a friend and pillar of support. I feel like people may be underplaying Otis and Ruby's chemistry. Maybe they can flesh out Ruby and Otis better next season considering everyone seems want more of them. I feel like there is more potential with taking the Ruby route then with Maeve. Like you if go down Maeve route, you probably will only have interactions just involving both of them. But if you go via the Ruby route, you can explore more of Ruby's issue with pregnancy/commitment which has be constantly being brought up. Or their interaction/relationship with each other friends and family (Kind of what happened in season 3, episode 3). I cannot see that happening with Otis and Maeve (Doesn't sound like fun). What made Ruby and Otis work was that it was an expected surprised that seems to work. Maeve and Otis being the end game would be still be good, but I just don't feel the spark anymore especially after experiencing Otis and Ruby. Like Ruby and Otis just feels different, compared all the different combinations they have tried.

*PLEASE READ THIS* Ok but it would be such a good comeback to have maeve and otis together for a bit, but then slowly realise that sometimes, you build things up in your head. Sometimes you go head over heels and its not the best thing, and the right person can bring you balance, that healthy relationship can be better than just pure angst, and then they have a healthy break up, but build their friendship to what it was before. And then he goes back to ruby, they slowly start to become friends again but she’s still hurt. He wins her back over, and genuinely loves her because they make each other better.

I feel as though everyone likes her because she shows interest in Otis a guy she was embarrassed to be with in the first place. in all the shows and movies I've seen similar to Ruby's character the girl who is embarrassed to be with the nerdy and then falls in love with him doesn't end up with the guy in the end.
This hit me so hard cause before I wanted motis but now I wanted rotis to be back cause they had more chemistry together in just a few episode

I’ve never watched this show but ruby deserves better 😢
Honesty what made me fall in love with them wasn't just the chemistry or the bowling scene - it was the scene with Ruby's dad. We finally got to see past her facet and see how she really felt about Otis. Ruby's dad talking about how he finally got to see the famous Otis, and how he was really happy Ruby has been happy ever since they started dating. Honestly this feels like Ruby had always been interested in Otis, but her defensive mechanism has always been pushing Otis away. I wished they had explored his part of their relationship instead of ending it soo soon.
Like if you really think about it, this relationship mostly had a lot of chemistry but for the most part had a lot of element of toxicity. But with each passing episode, we saw the potential. She stopped caring what other people thought, she stopped trying to change Otis and she fully started accepting Otis. Episode 3 was soo hurtful for me, considering all the build up and ending on such a sad note. Like I get it, from Otis POV, I too would not have said I love you then. Cause he never got to see the real her till then -- She was always rude to his family and friends. Like the fact that he didn't address it properly and pretended like it didn't happen was probably what hurt her the most. But considering they are portraying high schoolers, I get it they didn't have the maturity to handle such things better.
From a writer standpoint, seeing how people loved Ruby and Otis in season 2, they probably wanted to test the reaction in this season. But I don't think even the writers would have anticipated the reception of this relationship. Maybe the writers may have shoehorn themselves not giving the Maeve and Otis relationship earlier. Like it almost starting to feel like Otis and Maeve is a plot device for Ruby and Otis, where when he finally accepts that he rather keep Maeve as a friend and pillar of support. I feel like people may be underplaying Otis and Ruby's chemistry.
Maybe they can flesh out Ruby and Otis better next season considering everyone seems want more of them. I feel like there is more potential with taking the Ruby route then with Maeve. Like you if go down Maeve route, you probably will only have interactions just involving both of them. But if you go via the Ruby route, you can explore more of Ruby's issue with pregnancy/commitment which has be constantly being brought up. Or their interaction/relationship with each other friends and family (Kind of what happened in season 3, episode 3). I cannot see that happening with Otis and Maeve (Doesn't sound like fun).
What made Ruby and Otis work was that it was an expected surprised that seems to work. Maeve and Otis being the end game would be still be good, but I just don't feel the spark anymore especially after experiencing Otis and Ruby. Like Ruby and Otis just feels different, compared all the different combinations they have tried.

Ok but it would be such a good comeback to have maeve and otis together for a bit, but then slowly realise that sometimes, you build things up in your head. Sometimes you go head over heels and its not the best thing, and the right person can bring you balance, that healthy relationship can be better than just pure angst, and then they have a healthy break up, but build their friendship to what it was before. And then he goes back to ruby, they slowly start to become friends again but she’s still hurt. He wins her back over, and genuinely loves her because they make each other better.
We will need more than one season for that to happen.
