    Correction, hot water in Costa Rica is the norm when showering, what is not so common is every single house having a hot water TANK, so no hot water when doing dishes, most houses use what we call a suicide shower, an instant water heater attached to the shower itself.

      Most people in the city wore masks outside and it's a requirement in all stores. I felt like it was more polite to also wear it in town since i'm a tourist and not accustomed to their culture :)
