What a special event for sharing. And there should be rooms for improvement according to the candid comments.
Hope to see subsequent feasts such as for Chinese festivals and/or Canada National Day ... especially with SELECTED CANADIAN foods (across Canada, such as Vancouver Crab, Quebec Deer, etc.) for the best and unique enjoyment as possible.

為什麼不評一下那个wine pairing, I would like to know how well it went, this is the topic I am most interested. I have tried all the food that was served before, only thing was the wine pairing, no Chinese restaurant in Toronto have attempted that, did they have a sommelier on site? There is no doubt Casa Imperial is an exceptional restaurant, consistently deliver above average dishes.

Bcos not all guests had the wine pairing that evening, i couldn't get enough feedback when I circled around filming. Personally I find that the types of wine they served were fair, but lots of room for improvements.
I wish there was a real sommelier 😛
You are right, Casa Imp is the first fine Canto restaurant to make such a wine pairing event so it's already one big step forward.

I had a very different dining experience when l celebrated my wedding anniversary on a weekday night. All diners were packed in the room on the first floor. Being a small party of 2, we were assigned to a pretty small table outside the washroom. The servers were overly attentive. We ordered a few dishes including "pigeons". The food was above average but pricy and unexciting. And the "pigeons" were disappointing because they were so small and skinny. Hope my sharing will add another perspective to this story.
