Not at all dude. It's my favorite guitar of all time. It's a 1997 Big Apple Stratocaster. The fat strat has double humbuckers like this. However what makes this a big apple Stratocaster is it came from Fender with the upgraded pearly Gate Seymour Duncan's designed by Billy Gibbons. Although most stratlovers snoot at this because it doesn't have all single coils for my style of playing it's the most neutral guitar I've ever owned. In pick up position 2 or four I can never remember one away from the bridge, It sounds as clean as you could ever want a strat to be and mellow's out that humbucker. But when you go back to the bridge pick up it chugs and handles distortion as good as any metal guitar I've ever owned. In fact a little bit better in my opinion. It just has this quality that I've never gotten out of another humbucker guitar. When I was younger I played in a funk/metal band with rapper and a singer and it was the perfect guitar. I can go chili peppers clean right to something as heavy as Slayer all with the same guitar in my hands. Thank you so much for watching my videos!!
Dude my Floyd tribute band Brain Damage is doing the whole Wall album on back to back nights October 4th and 5th in 2024 at an awesome theater with a 4K screen. I have a feeling I'll be posting lots of Floyd this year as I work on those songs.
This is great dude. For real. Especially if this is your first full song idea. You should spend some money on some recording equipment and find a drummer
I actually have a hundred of these in my head. I'm just going to start making videos of them. It's video #1. I've been in all sorts of bands from funk metal to thrash to punk and have been playing lead in a Floyd tribute for the last decade. When I sit down and write new songs out of my heart with all of those influences this is kind of the vibe that comes out of me now. I just finished my Masters and have time on my hands. Instead of making Floyd videos which get copyrighted, or guitar lessons which also get copyrighted, I'm just going to start writing a bunch of songs on my page. Appreciate you watching
@@ryanguitargodfrey Gotcha 👍 as a fellow songwriter I was wowed by the thought of this being your first song. When I look back at some of my first songs they were pretty shitty lol. But still. Great stuff. As someone who really enjoys this type of music it would definitely be in my playlist. The guitar work and even your vocals remind me of some early Hum material. If you’ve never heard of them you should check em out. Anyways keep doing what you’re doing bro.
Love Hum!!!!! I have a lot of Helmet/Hum/Weezer/old Pumpkins/foo fighters/QueensOTSA influence in my original stuff. I was a Metallica/Slayer head only the first 15 years I played So I can chug with the best of them but prefer this kind of vibe when I write.
sounds awesome! i'm new here, if you don't mind me asking, what guitar is that?

When you look up at the sun
She's the one
Golden rays endless fun
Underneath her warm embrace
Nature's Grace in daylight spun
