- Eiscue could be the best Fusion Strike Pokemon in the Brilliant Stars. I mean, it's not, but it could be and that's the most important thing. Fusion Strike Pokemon are super super strong, so why has Eiscue been left in the dark? The Brilliant Stars format needs some more wildcards like Eiscue. Great to see you back! I vs'd a Mew with Eiscue in Round 1 at Perth Regional, definitely had to read it, caught me by surprise
These kinda cards can be really difficult to deal with because they add a new dimension to the game :)

this variation is great! not only allows for another way to attack instead of relying on techno blast. and also to help wait to get a stadium with other cards instead of being typically stuck against path

The problem with fusion strike is that since the Mew Genesect combo is so good that they need to be in every fusion strike deck, if you do not include them in your fusion strike deck than your deck is just not optimized...
Yeah mew vmax is pretty dang good, there’s not much that can be done about that

i remember that the fusion strike meloetta also has the same skill like this one, but instead of 40, it deals 70 damage for each fusion energy. I think it would be more stronger to use meloetta instead :3

First game you had two fusion strike energies left so copying Eiscue would get you 80 damage plus two power tablets in hand equals knockout on bibarel on bench for last prize
Also you could have copied his 100 attack plus power tablet

I tried this Pokémon at league, it didn’t work for me. But I can see it doing well.
It’s awkward because it’s definitely good but not quite as good as it could be

The main problem with that is now you are using basic waters instead of fusion energy like the attack needs

i remember when eiscue was first scanned/ leaked on pokebeach and everyone lost their minds, saying it was the most broken card ever. fast forward in time, and people aren't even using Eiscue in their mew decks in official events, even though its tournament legal now, and has been for like 2-3 months. what happened?

I'm glad to see you back. But you're right, I really dislike the Fusion Strike deck. It feels bad since I like Genesect as a Pokemon and count Mew as among my all time favorites - but I despise what Mew Vmax has done to the game. It's pure deck vomit and has warped the entire game around it. I hope Mightyena is super common and it just makes Mew drop off the face of the Earth - but it wont. Not when you have a deck that can OHKO anything in the game on turn 2 consistently. Because some drunk bastard at Pokemon thought that would be fair.
I think the thing people dislike the most is that it's super linear. It's not particularly interesting to play at all
@@TheSableyes Maybe, but while I was more salty than I needed to be I think it's the over centralization of the meta game that I most resent. It's not AS bad as Fusion Strike but even with the advent of Arceus, the entire game is still built around Mew. And the insane levels of speed that deck has. Everything that possibly can, is playing dark. The whole meta has to use "can it stand up to Mew?" As a benchmark, and even of your deck beats everything else, if it loses to Mew, who cares?
We're seeing in the TCG what happened in the VGC back in XY. At that time, Mega Kangaskahn was the God of the meta. The only reason it didn't rule the top 8 of worlds was because the entire game was focused on countering it. And we're seeing the same with Mew Vmax, it's not seemingly performing that well. Because the entire meta has been warped around beating it.
Mew gets all the hate while Arceus keeps winning. Arceus is the real OP deck and somehow is escaping the spotlight
I don’t know that that is true, but I know what you mean. People often form opinions about decks and refuse to change them
Pairing it with Mew feels pointless... Mew does good enough without it lol
Not pairing it with mew means it’s not feasible so it’s a double edged sword really
