1. The packs at the beginning of the rewards track genuinely made it easier to collect cards I was aiming for so I've alredy been saving Gold for any nice skins they bring back and for the Mini-set 2. I have no trouble believing the Starcraft mini-set will cost over the standard 2000 Gold as its been confirmed to be roughly the size of 1/3 of an entire expansion (40+ cards). So,yeah, start saving Gold ppl!
With the extra packs added to the Rewards Track and Tavern pass, along with the Tavern Brawl pack change, getting Great dark beyond packs is easier now more than ever so definitely save your gold, you'll be able to fill our your collection over time as long as you win a Tavern Brawl game each week.
How is the change from Standard Packs to currenz set packs in tavern brawl remotely a possitive thing? We get zeeo additionl cards but get punished for "completing" a set.
Between the pre release tavern brawl, twitch drops, the change in the tavern brawl reward and more packs in the early season pass I decided to not buy any pack this expansion and save the gold (I just passed 8000 gold this week). It seems that it was a good decision and I only crafted The Ceaseless expanse and Kill'jaeden after two days of expansion
I bought fewer packs than usual this time and saved my gold. I felt like the new cards were underpowered, although I really like the concept of this new expansion.
I would say save 2000 gold for the next mini set (if that is the cost) and wait to see if the balance changes coming tomorrow give any more value to TGDB cards
It might be a little weaker… but rock shaman, demon warlock, starship Druid, and blaster mage These have definitely been some of my favorite decks ever! Especially rock shaman! Rock rock rock!!
I've already been on it. I usually buy as few Set packs as possible, but with this one, I've even saved my existing Standard packs, at least for now. I'd open them if I end up needing them, but none of the Dark Beyond archetypes have been interesting to me yet. A couple misc details worth mentioning; most of the pack awards that will be available in the current expansion, whether from events, stream drops, monthly Rank chest, or Arena chest, will be Dark Beyond, so they're all the more reason to hold back on purchasing them if you can manage it. Also, quick note about the 10000 Gold Golden Mini-sets, if someone's in that spot, I recommend saving that Gold if you can, because almost every Miniset lately has had at least 1 nerfed Legendary, if this happens again, THAT'S the time you want to buy the Golden Mini-set, because the Dust value goes up even more.
When they told us the new miniset will have more cards my first thought and only question was: "so it will be also more expensive?" - thats simple basic reason Im saving my gold on my own ... hopefully they will surprise us atleast this time and It will proove unnecessary but with Blizz you never know :)
It's not just that. The value of packs has been rapidly declining and never really got up to date with Hearthstone always higher deck-cost requirements. Over the last 3 expansions I opened what I might think were 130/145 packs in total. Might not be much but is the biggest number I could force myself to farm without spending money while still kinda enjoying what I was doing. I won't exaggerate by saying that I always had to craft roughly all the cards I played, and that wasn't an easy task nonetheless. Not just legendaries, but Epic Cards being always more and more reliant but still so difficult to find actually made everything you want to play always some Dust short from reach, and nothing in the reward system they refined helped anyone achieve an easier life. While buying pack may not be worth, how should someone even be able to afford playing the new decks if the progression isn't kept up to date with the increasing cost requirements? You kinda have to hope that your evergreen deck is still good in the new meta, because if else you probably will just spend the first weeks of the expansion just farming
I feel this. I homebreee alot, and usually craft all purp cards, even bad ones. NOT ANYMORE. last cooked card was grimmtotem on release, dont feel like cooking in hs anymore when I am beaten by bots w DK, or priest lists
What I do not like about the set is the new keyword. If you remember, C'thun's minions used to give attack/health when you played his cards. The whole card became dead when the minions that buffed it were thrown ouot, and this keyword is basically the samething as c'thun and I don't see them adding any new "Starship" pieces, and if they do, it'll be far and in between. Same for the previous tourist set.
The big difference between C'thun and Starships is that it was an actual card you needed to have in your deck. Starships basically exist outside your deck without taking up space and only need the pieces to show up. Its still an underpowered keyword becaue of how hard they broke the power creep tho
@@filipvadas7602 that's somehow worse. You play a "get random minion", get a *starship* and now your hand size went from 10->9 OR you play a minion that has a hidden 5 mana overload cost to clear the space the "ship" takes up
Generally i think that everyone should open at least 40 packs with in game gold + the packs from arena-ranked rewards in the end of each month. In this way you definitely get the most useful cards from each set(either getting or crafting them). Personally i think that this mini-set is gonna cost 2500 gold due to the increased cards.I don't think that this is such a big disaster but still, i agree with you, just a few cards made an impact so far and unfortunately blizzard keeping prices in shop that high,is the biggest concern to me.
Awesome graphics! I love this kind of research. I opened 53 packs of TGDB so far. I really felt the low amount of useful legendaries lol. I probably should have stopped at 37 but I started saving gold again. This game needs rebalancing overall, this expansion contains a lot of cards that just aren't landing on the game, but at the same time many themes from previous sets never landed at all. If we buff many of potentially good TGDB cards we may end up repeating this situation for the next year. Mass nerfs and slight buffs to simply bad cards that are just overpriced or understatted (on cards whose design allow it) is what is needed IMHO. Last time they mass nerfed decks they created the worst metagame of the last 2 rotations (Druid Druid) but that's because they didn't adjust stuff with vision. They ended up banning the ramping dragon until Perils in Paradise release, at that point other decks were able to compete against Druid.. but that's just powercreep basically lol. That's not the direction this game needs
Currently at 1800 gold, I'm planning on getting the mini set as soon as it drops. After that I'm probably gonna get the PiP mini set as I only recently returned to the game and I'm missing a lot of cards.
i think its kinda a good thing that they reduced the power lvl from new expansions a bit, i quit hs couple of months ago (not only) because of all that power creep and new stupidly broken cards every couple of months. i hope the hs team gets their shit together, even if i don't play it anymore i still hope i becomes a better game.
Ignoring packs from rotating expansions seems to be reasonable but when we collect all rares from current year's expansions and we still need key cards from them, how to collect them without buying packs?
If you have dust, then the best solution is to craft the most needed cards If you don't have enough dust, then you will be forced to continue buying packs. The problem is that due to the low overall utility of cards in the current metagame, you will get less benefit when chasing epic cards.
I find the statement of power level being slowed down rather ridiculous. Just look at Paladin set: 6 mana 9/9 with Lifesteal, that forces opponents to trade into it (rip aggro), 6 mana spell that spams the board with 3/3 Divine Shields, and much more! The only reason these did not took off is because the meta is dominated by Aggro decks that kill you on turn 5, before you can even play Lumia. I would say that the current expansion is the most ridiculous power creep I've seen, which did not take off only because it did not contribute to existing synergies.
There are a few outliers but like compaired to titans or badlands you have to admit power level is lower. This rotation is going to be massive for the game but untill then we suffer
goes to show how broken the design of dominating cards are (reborn zilliax, lifesteal zilliax, full board clears being 2 mana, lone ranger, reska, yogg and priest titan) nerfs & buffs wont matter next patch if they dont address these cards - which they wont because its embarrasing you'd need to fix all like 20 key cards to make this relevant, which would mean dust inflation and therefore a small percentage loss in short term revenue EDIT: (*essentially whole druid power creep, nostalgia+cookie, insane burst elemental cards, asteroid stacking, incidius) EDIT 2: the nerfed more of those than I thought, still Zilliax Yogg, asteroid/indicus, druid will dictate the meta .. so basically what I said

In other words, it most likely will not be worth buying dark beyond packs until the next expansion. Once the powerful sets begin to rotate out, the great dark beyond will be a bit stronger. They will most likely also release more support for the great dark beyond. Honestly though, I'm not really digging the play style of the new set. So the objective is going to be to get 1 million armor and extend the time of the games to 30 minutes. Some of the complaints were that aggro was too popular, and they were trying to slow the games down. I think they may be overdoing that
I'm going to pay closer attention to the new set this time around, as the current situation is so unusual. I don't expect balance changes to change the situation radically, but I really hope I'm wrong.
@ I just thought about Blizzard saying years ago that big swings and randomness, with 6-9 min game times, seemed to have more positive feedback from players through signals like active players and revenue. After playing TGDB, it does feel more like what HS was very early on.

I always save gold from the get go,, but the posibility of a more expensive miniset give more validity to my complains about replacing the first levels of the pass from gold to packs, yeah 5 packs was more than 250 gold, but now thats less gold to be abiavle for the upcoming miniset, if miniset ends up being more expensive i will be proven true that it was a net loss and never trust those kind of desitions, because they present them as an "improvement" when is just more ways to limit player resources and push them into buying with money
@@vaultseeker117 there is no guarantee you get to the level 100 before the miniset, we dont know the price of the miniset, we already get less exp because of the change of the quest, it is still an economy micro management from blizzard trying to squeeze as much money from the player base as they can trying to guide people into letting it slide, i am not gonna let it slide, the higher ups have been showing the whole year that they only care about scratching as much money as possible and this is just another step on that direction
The set isn't that bad, but about half of the cards are really useless. At the same time, you have a great opportunity to collect as much gold as possible during the expansion phase. In addition, there is a chance that new cards will become significantly more useful after rotation.
Theorycrafting isn't meant to really test the power level, it's meant to generate hype for the expansion, and that's perfectly fine. If you want to blame anything, blame the play testing (or lack thereof).
Theorycraft isn’t supposed to reveal the best decks. They prevent you from even making decks with less than 10 cards specifically to hide the possibility that most of the cards suck and don’t slot in except for maybe 1 or 2 exceptions in the current best decks.
In tGDB and other recent sets, I noticed that the Commons were fun and the Legendaries were niche. And that is how it should be. The Legendaries are the P2W cards, often used in OTK decks. They are often too expensive, as decks can win by turn 7, so cards that cost more than 7 can't be played without preparation (ramp, mana-cheat, high armor, Prince Renathal, banking corpses, etc.). But the newest expansions have Legendaries that are cheaper, and more like Utility cards. The tGDB set is an introduction to Starship Pieces, which is a thematic introduction for the next 3 sets, so it will gain in usefulness in January. If you have all the cards you want to far, you need to bank your "Standard" card packs until the release of the next set, as they will then gain the ability to contain new-set cards.
This is the first time I haven't played a new expansion at all in the history of the game. Not sure why, just bored with it... same old stuff over and over. You mention this is the first expansion where players "don't need to buy packs." Why is that? Did I just miss a bunch of free packs that I'm never going to have the change to get again? 😂
So you think I and many like me were right? This is an intentional attempt to lower the power level for next year? I mean, this takes balls... if Blizzard is actually doing it well kudos to them! Also I wonder what you think about the arena changes.. there is not much info about it, any ideas?
I really want to believe that the developers intend to reduce the power level, but the problem is that the developers have not announced such plans. Moreover, not all cards in the new set are weak, some look crazy. Regarding Arena, I am most interested in the potential change in cost and reduction of rewards. At the moment, too little information.
@@HearthstoneMathematics Honestly, I wouldn't announce something like that as well, it may lead to "panic" or stuff like that. So while a little underhanded, it may be for the best. I think that when this set won't be burdened by the past so to speak, it'll be able to shine a lot better. When I saw the arena thing, the two symbols, since one was white and the other black... maybe something to do with horde and alliance? I guess it's really too early to talk about that. Thanks for the reply
If you need resources for the game, then you should buy Perils packs, but if the developers intend to reduce the power level, then most likely this set will receive more and more nerfs, which will make the cards less useful.
This was the first collection that made me not want to play Hearthstone, but what a weak collection!! There are only two classes that gained something good, it was still weak, it was the mage and the shaman! Good collection was the TITANS! Congratulations Blizzard, making your games even worse! Hearthstone uses luck mechanics to create card effects! If you compare Hearthstone with YU-GI-OH Master Duel, Hearthstone is a lottery for each match! While in YU-GI-OH Master Duel it is the ability to make moves with +20 moves in a single turn!!
Weak collection makes me want to spend money on YU-GI-OH Master Duel! But what a rubbish collection and there are still idiots who pay in card skins, even though the new collection is all bad!

If your game crashes in hs store, then your device have low RAM.

The set isn't that bad, but about half of the cards are really useless. At the same time, you have a great opportunity to collect as much gold as possible during the expansion phase. In addition, there is a chance that new cards will become significantly more useful after rotation.
If only people put as much effort in theorycrafting as they do making videos like this, this video might not even be necessary at that point.
Theorycrafting isn't meant to really test the power level, it's meant to generate hype for the expansion, and that's perfectly fine. If you want to blame anything, blame the play testing (or lack thereof).
Theorycraft isn’t supposed to reveal the best decks. They prevent you from even making decks with less than 10 cards specifically to hide the possibility that most of the cards suck and don’t slot in except for maybe 1 or 2 exceptions in the current best decks.
people do, thats why the best decks are discovered by the end of the first week.
They already cant get my money since they raise the price of diamond cards double.
Rastakhan's Rumble KEKW
Time to wrap it up boys if blizzard is resorting to universes beyond then hearthstone is dead and soon to be beaten
I remain skeptical, as always with Blizzard, but, I want to believe.
@@KnownAsKenji "The truth is out there", I want to believe too 😂
Por favor, precisamos de um vídeo sobre se vale a pena ou não pagar 150 de ouro para jogar a ARENA
what about rotation Perils is no good after rotation
If you need resources for the game, then you should buy Perils packs, but if the developers intend to reduce the power level, then most likely this set will receive more and more nerfs, which will make the cards less useful.

Obrigado Davy!
I got legend with rainbow dk
This was the first collection that made me not want to play Hearthstone, but what a weak collection!! There are only two classes that gained something good, it was still weak, it was the mage and the shaman! Good collection was the TITANS! Congratulations Blizzard, making your games even worse! Hearthstone uses luck mechanics to create card effects! If you compare Hearthstone with YU-GI-OH Master Duel, Hearthstone is a lottery for each match! While in YU-GI-OH Master Duel it is the ability to make moves with +20 moves in a single turn!!
i stopped playing Hearthstone shortly after Total Biscuit called it quits. Never touchit it or warcraft again not the same games.
I gave up on HS a few months ago. Too expensive and just not good value for money. I'll just buy a good AAA game than keep investing in this garbage.
Standard mode is awful and was an attempt to be a cash grab not balance. Simply be less intellectually lazy. Can't be THAT difficult. :)
valeu davy!
I want Zarimi priest to be playable again
Weak collection makes me want to spend money on YU-GI-OH Master Duel! But what a rubbish collection and there are still idiots who pay in card skins, even though the new collection is all bad!
Or just stop playing Hearthstone, theyre greedy and unoriginal at this point
I still just buying 30k dust every expansion it's 10$ at max
i am so grateful I quit this game and only use these videos as background noise
Completely stopped playing.
