  • Sunday's weather-disrupted Queen City Tune Up schedule gave us an opportunity to film lower bracket games that are usually missed, which is how we found ourselves watching Case Western Reserve and UNC Wilmington in the 5th Place Final. On a contentious final point, Case's offense sought to score the final goal and finish off their weekend with a win. Did they do it?

    3:15 is just not a foul which is why it didn't go to the observer

    6 minute point and then an injury call that didn't impact a turn sends it back on the goalline... hate to see that...

      Has to be that way, otherwise players will be put in a position where they're encouraged to play on past/through injuries. The only continuation is if the disc is in the air when the injury is called.

      And of course it benefited the heavily favored team over the underdog who had so far dominated the point.

    What was the call at 6:44 that sent the disc back? Shouldn't it have been a turnover?

    • @vanimator100
      @vanimator100 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty sure there was an injury call prior to the turnover so disc went back to when the injury occurred.
      Edit: after watching it back just confused because looked like the injury was after but the observers thought it was before??? Idk I’m confused

      @@vanimator100 yeah I thought that too but the injury was called after the throw so play should have continued until the turnover/call?

      what decision? if the injury happened before the throw, it goes back. if not, its a turn. when did case call it?

      @@jmnorris50 what rule specifies a disc needs to go back to the thrower? To my knowledge, there isn't a specific rule. If anything, it should be in the same vein as the Continuation Rule. Play doesn't stop until the player in possession of the disc acknowledges the need for a stoppage at which point things are assessed on whether or not a disc needs to go back. The thrower did not acknowledge that and threw a turnover. As such, the turnover, imo, should have stood.
