i love this house. I started going there in elementary school (born on date 1971). My great grandparents had worked when White Hall was up as senior level people. Took my daughter there for the Easter Eggs a few times and maybe this one too.

I know this video is old but it's still awesome. I live like 10 minutes away from here in West Palm Beach. Went there about 5 years ago. I'm excited because I just signed up a high tea on Christmas Eve ❤️❤️❤️
Oh and I love the way when you said he had a pretty awesome view...😂 you have to remember in 1902 none of that was there.

I’m glad you enjoyed the video and visiting the Flagler museum is always exciting and fun. The Christmas Eve event sounds fantastic. It’s a little of the old Florida style and it’s special that we still have it today. 🏖️

Thank you for the tour Sir.
    Great camera job.
I've seen Biltmore, SchweppesEstates, MaraLargo, Vizcaya, Breakers, Winchester Mansion and a few other Guilded age homes.
This is as stunning a home, as impressive and gorgeous as all the great estates of the robber barons. I'm drawn to all things 1890 (post Civil War) - 1925 and into the great depression. I read ravenously.
I'm ashamed I lived in Florida for 8 years and never visited Henry Morrison Flagler Museum.
I will be rectifying that error very soon.
    Thank you again.
    Take Care
    Be Well

I've visited that recently. Enjoyed the visit and beautiful location. They give you a hand held audio narration device so that you can hear about every room in every part as you walk through the mansion. Seeing the train car there was an extra bonus. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that it's $26 to enter which I think was a little steep considering it's just the building. A $15 entry fee will be more affordable and will allow more visitors to be able to afford to go.

I enjoy going to Henry Flagler mansion, I’ve been there 4 times already and I never get bored going there when I’m in town. 👍🏻

Do the Breakers too. It's expensive to park but they give you a credit (last time I was there).

That’s a great idea and I was thinking of snorkeling the Breakers reef. Hopefully I’ll be back soon.

@@LoneStarRocker Last I was there is was about $40 to park temporarily, that covered enough to have a nice appetizer at lunch time and a couple soft drinks at their lower priced spot on property. It had views of the ocean so it was a nice place to catch a bite to eat and see some history.

Wow just randomly came here after watching Joey’s latest podcast and did not think I would randomly come across another Joey fan on a random historical museum video like this!

you didn't mention the secret staircase.

It was built in 1900, not the 20s. Opened as a museum in 1960. I never understood the trend of pipe organs in these mansions. Not exactly music you can rock to. No AC until 1990...just imagine that. Flagler only used it for winter retreats and it just sat there the rest of the year. I don't understand how the humidity didn't cause problems for the interior and furnishings. That view from top of staircase is great. That's where Flagler took his tumble causing his eventual death.

What are you doing with that diaper on your face if you're in Florida you need no diaper on your face
