I've found rabbits along the edge of the forest in the northern part of the central plains. I'll start a patrol near the Pocket River and glide eastwards and follow the forest edge to even mid way down the next river. For me, better luck attacking them while flying, they're too quick to chase on the ground.
Yeah the absolute best thing to do is attack at speed and directly at them, killing them before they start moving. They outrun you. Just as the bullfrog does!
I cannot thank you enough for this. I had no idea where to find the spawn locations and was just scraping by with regular fish. My friend and I found a turtle waaaaay out in the north ocean but needless to say it caused a lot of lag... I'd never even seen turtles or crabs spawn on the beach so I thought it was impossible for me to find them XD
for Update 3.5 theres a very easy spot to find all the nutreints. the west coast has turtles, center river has fish and there are many frogs at the old oasis which are suprisingly easy to spot in the brown mud.
I didnt want to address it in the guide but yeah, it removes you from the fight, takes you to very remote locations, and absolutely no incentive to PVP what so ever. Imo the diets took things in a weird direction, hopefully early days and its part of something larger but its pretty boring. Especially as carcass or something is not on your diet, you can only kill for sport and fun. and the longer you stay in the fight the worse your diet will do. Eating someone you kill is a waste as it will only fill your stomach and not your neutrients. The fact that ptera cannibalism isnt on the diet is a major issue, as all these remote locations with food wont even become contested among pteras. as there is no reason to kill each other, there is even a cannibalism debuff to your stats. so you have no dangers, no incentive to pvp, you are 100% a spectator to the game, and its just the dumbest thing i ever saw in a survival game i think.
They were swimming, I was actually a deino at the time, but the water wasn't deep enough for me to swim. I don't know if they were glitch spawns or not as I'd never seen elite fish in such shallow water before, but they would have been perfect for an adult(or close to adult) ptera to kill and eat. But yes, I personally hope that with the addition of more creatures, ptera's diet will expand to contain more player dinos(troodon might be a good option) to bring them back into things. I don't mind spectating sometimes, but honestly my very favorite thing to do as a ptera was to fight juvies on the ground. You're absolutely correct that doing so now only harms your overall diet and leaves you weaker until you take off to those more remote places again.
ah yeah they only really visible to deinos i think. i have seen them bugged out swimming above water, but couldnt interact with them. this was on the previous update tho
I think most pcs unless its a very old one can run it ok. Its not optimized so it doesnt run Great for anyone. But it is alot of fun. Apologies for the late reply
Amazing video! This helped a lot, but I can never seem to find rabbits lol. Not sure if it's worth the effort in exchange for the perks. Right now I'm settling for a "great diet" with fish and turtles. My biggest issue above all else, however, is being in full control of the ptera and being able to do 360's like you do in your harassment videos lol. The reason being that the A key does not always equal left, and D does not always equal right. As you know, the camera angle affects which way your ptera turns when pressing these keys, and it always throws me off. Is there any way to permanently set A to be left turn no matter the angle, and D to be a permanent right turn? This is how most games with WASD movement work, so I don't understand The Isle when it comes to this. It's not very intuitive
Well you can go for bullfrogs at center pond. Fills the same category as rabbits. the turns are about timing on the wasd movements. Sometimes it turns the opposite way
haha am sorry to hear that mate. there are quite a few tutorials out there for fishing. its the same in any version of the game. hold down RMB, get close to the water, i usually airbrake so am flying as slow as possible, and when you are close enough to the water while holding RMB down the ptera will do the fishing animation and skim the water flying slower aswell, then you just regulate your height with spacebar, make sure to not fall in, and let go off RMB as soon as you can when you see the text appear that there is a fish to be caught. Also, you can only fish, where you see ripples in the water, if you want to catch fish.
its all about practice really, the more you do it the more fun and easy it becomes. its all about the mechanics, like in most games, once you master em, you'll do great, it just takes some time.
Honestly the most helpful isle video ive ever seen
Cheers mate, glad it could be of help!
Finally I find someone who eats something other than fish! Well Done!
This is so well done! Please do more of these.
thanks mate!

@@mariomilanista Or burrow, which potentially glitches them.

Thanks a lot, very helpful guide for me.
glad to hear it!
Still so disappointed in the ptera diet. They've essentially removed all point to ptera pvp since all but one of their diet foods are AI.
I did find a pair of elite fish in shallows yesterday though

ccould you fish them or were they laying by the side of the river? cause if it was the latter, thats deino bait, be safe, stay hungry is my advice xD

how you can see like that in the night ?
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️
No problem, glad i could help out!
what about elite fish? the are required to get certain nutrients, but the isnt any info on how to catch elite fish
i wouldnt. its the massive fishes that crocs sometimes lay on the shore. but ill bet you, its just bait. if you take it, you'll be the dinner
This made me jump faster than a guy hearing his girl is pregnant
haha, hopefully its of help mate!
@@mariomilanista for sure it did, also do u mind making a gameplay vid for evrima diets, where u also kick butt?
Ill put something out!
Requerimients for evrima?

There are more rabbit spots. Anyway thanks for this Video!
I can't fish to save my life..trust me i haven't saved my life yet being a ptera!

@@mariomilanista I feel like flying could be more fluid and less janky but practice makes perfect, i have had some luck since making that comment.
