Love the channel. Started watching your other Q7 vids awhile ago. Been trying to track down a vacuum leak/soft pedal on my 4.2Q. buying a T valve right now lol.
Check the oil filter housing gasket under the intake manifold for the mysterious oil leak.

Thanks for the love! That is one spot we are going to look into, as well as oil pan gasket and maybe a couple other areas that we want to look at

Can you point out where the oil pressure switch is located on the 4.2? I have checked between the firewall & the oil filter & can't see it. Would it be under the intake manifold or under on the engine block?

    I had the same problem
One of the most common bad PCV valve symptoms is a hissing or whistling or whining noise from the engine, and sometimes a low moaning sound. The hissing sound is most probably because of a leak in the hose of PVC

Have you, or anyone else with this engine added a PCV connection or crossover to the right bank of the engine? I am nearly convinced that all of my emissions errors, misfires and poor performing ignitions issues which are limited to cylinders 1-4 are all related to not having the PCV system connected to that valve cover. VAG left a dead port on the valve cover with a plastic plug....

@@2brokeurowners672Hello From Brazil. We have a touareg 2008 4.2 v8 with the same engine as your video. I suspect that the diafragm (inside pcv valve) is perforated, because there is a lot of air suction on oil cap and when i acelerate a lot the EPC failure warms up in painel. My doubt is: Can I substitute only the diafragm (i found the diafragm on internet) but i didnt found all pcv valve to buy.
      Bests reguards.
