    I did this to give mine a better approach without a strict aggressive chop .I think it keeps most of the bumper which I like.

      How has the bumper performed? Wondering if it is rigid enough with less attachment points?

      I’ve taken my bumper off and on so many times already for light mods that I’ve lost half the bolts that button up those corners, lol. I’m gonna do this cut soon since I might as well 😂 zero issues with a flapping bumper or anything

    Love it but would have added a black edge protector to bring the black finder flair color down... not to mention, leaving raw plastic and paint edge will eventually cause the paint to let go... Just a matter of time or a good edge hit that then will be tough to hide... Other than that, I love it & intend to do it. Thanks!

    So you cut the plastic wheel well liner allowing mud and water to splash into your fog light, et. al. Couldn’t you do this cut and reset the liner? The only fail I see with your cut angle that I like.

  • @4condors
    @4condors 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Question, I got a 5gen 4Runner, got bigger tires, it’s rubbing on the fender liners, what’s the best way and cheapest way to fix the rubbing? Level kit? Remove and modify the fender liners? Thanks

    • @OverlandingUSA
      @OverlandingUSA  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just push the fender liner forward. You can simply undo the bolt that attaches into the bottom of the liner, push it forward, drill a new hole and put the bolt back in.

    • @4condors
      @4condors 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Overlanding USA thank you.. and one think I forgot, it always rubs on the mud flaps... anyway best way to also fix the issue? Maybe take off the mud flaps( but I like on ) or maybe shave off a little from it? Thanks again

    • @OverlandingUSA
      @OverlandingUSA  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@4condors It depends on where it is rubbing, if its rubbing the mud flap then take it off, if its not rubbing then leave it and do the front.

    I really love how this looks, but I'm not a big fan of leaving the fog light connections wide open to mud/water/salt. Any future plans to maybe fabricate some plastic fender lining to keep those components covered up? The metal tab that was bent up could still be utilized. Thanks for the video!!

    • @OverlandingUSA

      spencer graham no noise at all. The bumper is still fixed at all but one of the factory points. So it’s very sturdy. I do not think it would effect your ability to go full as most of those are a much much more aggressive cut

    I like this idea, but it looks unfinished. Too bad you couldn’t add a small coping along the cut fron the black fender flare. The bending of the attachment point also looks like it could be better thought out.
