I'm so glad this series is getting popular. I'm playing the older games after finishing ys viii and i really love it. Great series. Here here for the next one!
I hated this opening when I first watched it, thought it was generic and meh. Watched it again after finishing the game and my feelings completely changed, seeing all the details, seeing how much it actually fit the story and game made me love it as one of my favorites.
Maaaan, I miss Ys VIII characaters a lot cuz it's first Ys game i've played...can't imagine Ys IX without Dana, Ricotta and others, it was really great tale despite bittersweet end
I recently discovered the Y's series with the VIII (almost getting platinum trophy) and I have to say that it is the true heir of the JRPG'S legacy from the golden era. Going through this game made me remember why it used to be my favorite genre back in the day. Truly a masterful series, can't wait to play the IV opus. By the way, do you guys think we would ever get some sort of collection HD for the current consoles? I am also loving Y's origin on ps4, a true gem.
When will they make an anime adaptation for this series.... The music is good, plot decent or at least enjoyable.... Plus can make the game more popular, so I can introduce this game to my friends easily :v
Yea I watched the book I and II but it's like.... Very old..... And Could be better than that.... I heard they tried to offer some studios to make an adaptation for it but they got rejected and probably they never do it again
I liked the two animes because I liked the series but clearly to me they didn't grasp the Ys series really well. I mean Adol killed half his enemies by pure luck in the first anime and he lost his shit in the second anime(full blown going insane and stuff). We are talking about a kid who literally gave no fuck about sailing in the worst possible conditions and who goes toe to toe against gods without caring. Don't give me the excuse that these were his two first adventures and he was inexperimented/mentally weak. Basically I didn't like that they gave him the personnality of the generic japanese loser protagonist whereas his true personnality is the James Bond of video games, a guy so tough he can handle anything thrown at him not always with ease but he still manages.
BluBoulzor Yeah, they kinda fast forwarded the story. I enjoy the story in the game but the anime didn't describe Adol and his adventure in the land of Ys that well. In other words the anime escalated too quickly for viewers who don't know anything about Adol to follow. The anime of Tales of Zestiria the X made me want to see better Ys anime even more.
Falcom made an anime called like falcom school or something? It has characters from all their games and is pretty funny. Idk if it's been subbed though I watched it raw. But yeah check that out if you've played Ys or Legend of Heroes ore definitely if you're a fan of both.
I'm starting to wonder why there has been a small trend of having a girl with brunette-orange-ish hair using rapiers: Asuna from SAO, Asuka from Tokyo Xanadu, and Laxia in this game.
It saddens me that even though this game series are down right amazing and enjoyable, people will ALWAYS talk about Link and the lady who barely do anything (her name is always on the title so hope you know who that is). YS series are, indeed, very underrated; yet they are very decent ;(

This opening is so generic in terms of the animation. The other modern Ys games have a particular style that really isn't used too often and the fact that it's sort of gives off a Visual Novel vibe instead of a typical anime. This helps the CG models not stand out so much unlike this game. Also even for an anime style opening, it just doesn't stand out. The music isn't bad, it can be great but it doesn't really match the animation at all at least in my opinion.
Dyl-Dawg the fast paced action core gameplay mechanics still remained the same but the opening of Ys 8 on the other hand..its completely different compared to the previous Ys openings.

Switchの新作にイース9があったから購入するかでイースを色々調べたところ、イース8が良いと言う話をみて初のイースをプレイした。そして本当に素晴らしいRPGだった。FF10、ゼノギアス並みに感動しました。
これぞ冒険！って感じられる最後のゲームシリーズだわ

初代大樹の巫女の物語をRPGで出して欲しい。何故彼女がラクリモサの大樹の巫女に成なったのか？その謎を追う物語が見たい。戦闘モードでは竜人モードと竜化モードが合ってモードを切り替えながら戦う。ちなみに竜化出来るのは味方では主人公の初代巫女だけ。敵には竜化出来るのが何人か出て来る。閃の軌跡の騎神戦の様に竜化戦みたいなのが有るとか。勿論パーティ戦でも竜化出来るけど。 2:46

Ys VIII was a really disappointing Ys game for me, but this opening is as good as Ys intros always are!
