I know most of you guys are playing about being injured, but fr you gotta be careful 😅. Took me about a month to learn and a gymnast coach was setting me when I went for it.
Jesus Christ will come back soon and we don't have much time to turn to Him. He died for all of our sins so that we can be forgiven. All we have to do is accept Him into our lives and trust Him wholeheartedly. Nobody but Jesus can save your soul. This might be your sign so turn to Him today. He loves you😊
As a gymnast for the past 14 years, please for the love of god don’t do this. It will teach improper form and there is a huge difference between a back hand spring and a back tuck. Throwing your head like that could lead to serious injuries if you don’t jump enough or balk in the air, so please stay safe and talk to a professional if your trying to learn a skill like that!
I feel like Pierres advice is aight if you are intermediate/Advanced level and have some basic acrobatics, plyometrics and mobility down. For beginner yeah be careful fr, takes time for the prerequisites 🙏. Calculated risk + incremental patient progress > reckless attempts beyond your realistic level
To all the comments: I know some more tips for you on doing a backflip. 1. Get as much height as possible. 2. Go straight up. Don't throw your body backwards! 3. Wait until you are almost at the peak of your jump and THEN go into a tuck. Tuck as tightly as you can! The tighter your body is, the faster you'll rotate. Just like in ice skating. 4. Practice at a gymnastics place if you can. The floor is slightly bouncy and will not only help you get air but also reduce the impact on your body if you fall.

Use some cushioning too! Preferably a foam pit or something that you can’t feel the floor through (you can test it by jumping on it and seeing if you can feel the impact of the floor) I like to practice at a gymnasium where a coach can help you do it safely.
The fact that you can educate people on how to do a backflip must be nice, and to be able to do one yourself. Meanwhile I've been doing gymnastics since I was 5 and never really got to the point where I could do back handsprings or front tucks.
I remember they tried to make me do this in cheerleading when I was younger without properly training me. I ended up banging my head multiple times and didn't want it to happen again and ended up walking away, feeling like a loser, because everyone else was able to figure it out and do it, which pissed me off, because I was actually trying. Turns out, I just needed someone to walk me through it. This made me feel better and like I'm not a complete loser and like I'm actually able to push my physical limits and do more than I thought I could. Anyways, respect to you, dude. Thanks for the tip.
NO ONE IS A LOSER! especially not YOU! Im suprised you made the cheerleading squad. Thats a great thing to think about at least! We dont have cheerleading squads here in the philipines, so your lucky to even make the first jump there! 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
Easiest way for me is practicing a good round off spring setup on grass. Sending it while knowing how to get out of a fail is very important for the progression aspect.
Day 1: "Suffered a Concussion, wowza, I did not expect today to go as I thought it would go, I was expecting to go full anime mode and backflip, what a day, I honestly might try to escape this place, the doctors aren't looking." - End of Day 1
If you have time and are willing to spend a bit of money I'd say go to a trampoline park find a foam pit and practice your form in there, then move on to a trampoline and practice your form and landing while progressively lowering your bounce height. When your bounce height is practically low enough that you aren't relying too much on the trampoline move to some padded floor and practice from there, if you land on padded floor you are ready to commit to a backflip on solid ground Hope this helps someone, the backflip is like the key component to most acrobatic movements, if you can do a back flip you can do a summersault
Yo, Heads up for anyone trying this, I ended up following everything correctly and looked exactly like him, BUT, i did the backflip and just as I nearly finished it I fell on my face and snapped my neck in 3 different pieces, me and the doctor did an xray and we actually found out not only did my neck snap but also my spinal cord and jaw were shattered so now im stuck in a gas powered wheelchair paying 2 dollars for fuel. thanks pierre :)
