I'd say Block Tales. Its a really well made game even though its just a demo. But, its roblox. So the obvious awnser is Toilet Tower Defense
The Innovation Awards have turned from “Which game had the best features” to “Which game has the most clout and what can it offer me”. There are so many games that are generally good and well made but get overshadowed by kids who just want something.

And honestly, Block Tales should have been in RPG and New Experience categories instead of Blox Fruits (Action/RPG) and Sols RNG (New Experience).
I mean, it was only out for half a year and it is already perfect even in its DEMO state. And it is also a DEMO WITH A ENEMY/BOSS RUSH.
And it simply beats the whole Classic Event by 10 times.
I havent watched the video yet. Honestly this started as a popularity vote then it became a "who's gonna offer me the most content for voting."

I have no idea why it got nominated for fighting as well, but that was more likely due to Roblox.

A fighting game doesn't mean a PVP game, a fighting game is a game with combat that focuses on melee combat so G&B qualifies for fighting.

Roblox is genuinely so dry these days. Like, is this even "Roblox: Powering Imagination"? Like almost every front-page game I see are Cashgrabs that have an AI thumbnail, and the fact that Roblox is fuel these games just demotivate any game creators hoping to make games that innovate the platform. I don't know if I'm being too deep into this shit, but thats what I personally feel about roblox rn.

The problem is people are voting for the most popular games and not the BEST games in the categories. For example in the "Best Obby" category Flood Escape 2, in my opinion, is the best obby with tons of different maps to play with different difficulties and music for each map. Luckily the voting in the lobby isn't the actual voting for the Bloxy winners.

The drama on Twitter about best fashion with Dress to Impress and Catalog Avatar Creator was the reason why I’m never ever going to vote next year’s Innovation Awards. It’s so stupid and just a “virtual crime” that these devs bribe their fans to vote for their game to win the best of that category. The devs of Dress to Impress send out an announcement in game 6 hours before the votes were in that they would send out a code if they won best fashion, so it was neck and neck with Catalog Avatar Creator and Dress to Impress between that 6 hours and the results. Yet before that CAC was over 500k votes while DTI was barely close to 250k votes and all the sudden, DTI is close with CAC in votes. And after CAC won, there were many threats to the dev of CAC, the game, and the discord server. IMO, I appreciate to all the devs who didn’t bribe their fans to win a category because they’re people who are not desperate over a win. It disgusts me that these devs would bribe their fans to win something like that. And I hope Roblox does learn from their mistakes.
To be honest catalog avatar creator shouldn’t even be on there. Yeah, sure it is a fashion game, but literally all they did was take every catalog item on Roblox and put it in their game for people to try on. They don’t even make anything. Dress to Impress however actually models each and every clothing item, and does actually work on the game. I can understand why people could be mad, but that still isn’t a reason to send threats to the developers.

8:02 The reason Block Tales wasn’t in the event was because there was a website everyone could fill out once, in this website you would put in a game ID’s, and then the 4 games filled out the most would be put in the game, to be voted by more people, and since Block Tales was made after everyone already filled the website, it wasn’t put in, so TL;DR: Block tales wasn’t added because it wasn’t voted enough on the website.

I kinda agree with you for the most part EXCEPT for the fact that you blame roblox for adding random games in the voting section, lets not forget that WE voted games to be nominated in the first place and they just chose the top 4 highest voted games. Though i feel like some of the games like SOLS Rng and Dusty trip dont deserve to be nominated in the first place.

Fun fact: this was originally called child manipulating simulator, but they were scared that there were smarter kids than 3 years old screaming for kj, so they changed it to innovation awards
Regarding the TSB thing, the strategy game you wanted to win, TDS, did the same thing in the bloxy awards by creating the bloxy commander skin, which would be released if they won the best trailer award.

I´ll give 5 things that Roblox should do bette on the Innovation Awards: (my opinion)
1- DONT SHOW THE VOTES ON THE DAILY VOTING
2- PICK BETTER VIDEOS
3- GIVE OTHER GAMES A CHANCE
4- DON´T GIVE THE SAME GAMES SO MANY CATEGORIES
5- PICK THE CORRECT GAMES FOR ALL THE CATEGORIES
The current system is unsolvably rigged though. Smaller games lose to larger games because people only vote for games they know and have played. A better system would be for a few reviewers to play all the games and choose which one is the best.

Yeah thats alot of the actual popular tower defense games. Its unfortunate that the actual good td games are less popular. Two i reccomend are Tower defense X and Doomspire defense.
Don't forget about tower blitz being a good tower defense game (sadly it died)

Me personally I wanted kj, but every time i saw someone on the innovation awards saying "GUYS VOTE FOR TSB SO WE CAN GET KJ" i felt bad because they were giving a bad image to tsb but man, i think the community of tsb isn't what i thought.
1:49 actually tower defense simulator is a bit more different than u think , even with best units u would still need strategy to beat hard mode and if u join game with unknown person, then u mostly lose if they dont know the strategy because game becomes more harder if u have more people. Thats why I think it is perfect for strategy category
And by strategy do you mean searching up the best strategy that is posted on the community channel and using it to win? That isn’t even strategy, only like 1% of the tds community is actually strategizing on how to beat the modes, while the other 99% just use the strat created

For predictions, there was a place where u can put a link to the game u wnated for each strategy, and for the 4 games that had the most links to that game would be nominated, roblox didn’t pick the games
Technically they never implied that the category was strategy games, except games that have strategy in them and best use of said strategy. Like the video says dusty trip has strategy putting it into the category, anime defenders and TDS are popular strategy games alone so they have to be in. I understand why people would argue that TSB has no strategy whatsoever but you need to understand that most Roblox games has strategy, especially in fighting games where you need would actually need to use strategy against your opponents, Such as learning how they play and using that to your advantage. So how I see it the category of strategy isn’t based on its genre but more of how strategy is used within these games.

i remember back in like 2017 they used to do the events which gives you items in like 3 games, and they nominated a game i used to play which had an average of 20 players, now its only front page games, just to show how much it changed.

I feel like they could had swapped the system where if u vote the right one u get the points since it nullifies the whole point of voting, since instead of selecting ur favorite one, u have to pick which one u think is gonna win, they could had swapped it out with a play time system, make some mini games around the map so the player can have fun while waiting for rewards like points or a free ugc

What kind of zaza was Roblox on? As a TDS player myself, I'm not mad; I'm honestly disappointed that TDS didn't win Best Strategy. I'm even more disappointed in the TSB community for crying literal tears just to keep KJ free longer. The TSB community should be deeply ashamed for going this far down just for a character to be free longer. This is one of the many reasons why I've hated TSB since day one. This is simply not fair.
Don't think I've forgotten about the other devs for using this scummy method. I want manipulating votes to be considered a serious violation in the Bloxy Awards, with the penalty being a four-year ban from appearing in the Bloxy Awards. This is just not funny to players who actually want fairness in the Bloxy Awards.
