I am a "right brained" person who has patents in chemical engineering and had a career as a research chemist. You can do whatever you set mind to accomplish. I had to work harder to learn advanced math, but my visual ability helped me see chemical reactions in a creative way. I believe a team of people with different perspectives can accomplish amazing things when they cooperate.
There's a theory called VARK, about learning methods. Aka Visual, Auditive, Readable and Kinestetic - Vark. It was de-bunked or dismissed as myth in current time, because we use all 4 input methods namely to learn. Sadly, supposedly, we are not "spescial". I don't understand because i'm Human. However I'm martial artist sort of, and from my experience i recognize two "grounds" as we speak today. One ground the physical ground we may be plunged onto by Force, another ground is The Word. Hence The Way or Warrior encompass The Pen not least, and Sword. Hence right and left brain strictly speaking. I agree with above post.
I believe that the art and the math are directly linked. You can apply one to the other in many ways. However, i do believe those who are both creative and logical are able to go further in mathematics by tailoring creative solutions to math problems and visualizing it in a different way. This sets me apart from the rest of the CPAs that see only the math, but not the bigger picture at times.
This is so fascinating. The bit on each side controlling the opposite side of the body... I’m relearning movement after an accident and seeing how this works first hand! Very cool.
This video makes conclusions that are not supported by facts or research. There is one study in 2013 (University of Utah) that compared brain activity between the right and left brain hemispheres and it concluded that their results did not support the traditional idea of separate personality traits. That does disprove the concept, it simply does not support the concept of dual brain functions. And one study that was done a decade ago is not enough to call anything a 'myth.' For example, if I cannot offer evidence that black holes exist, have I disproved the concept of black holes? Can I say that black holes are a myth? No. There is one other study that is sometimes cited that compared the brain mass of the two hemispheres in right and left handed people. Again, their conclusion was that brain mass is not a reliable indicator of which hand a person uses. Again, that does not disprove the concept of dual brain functions. We do not know if the hypothesis is of hemispheric brain personality control is valid or not. Much more research is required to make any conclusions. In addition, the Dana Foundation did not cite any research to support this video. That, in itself, makes this video non-factual.
I love how perceptions are. Simple spiritual science. You do fluctuate from side to side. BUT.... it’s our mission to integrate both hemispheres for a balanced energetic frequencies. Look it up. A happier, less suffering life.❤
This is obviously how the brain works on some level. Somehow personality is involved, and it breaks down into letters. Personalities can be described according to archetypes. The existence of cross talk and communication across both sides of the brain refutes most of the points in this video.
Theory: it could be possible that people with bad handwriting are dominant in the same brain side as the hand they write with. so cor example: right brained people that also us their right hand to write have worse handwriting.
Im good at drawing and i practice piano , i love sports. But im not a emotional person and i have interest in physics and i am a logical person . So its noting like left brain or right brain. In fact it totally depends on person to person. If a person has lived his life with full of love and care , then obviously he is a emotional and creative person. But if a person lives with some big brain then he would think everything logically.
I took several tests out of curiosity and every time I got the same result - balanced brain. I agree to your comment, it sure depends person to person. Also, I'm good at drawing and I practice piano too. I'm interested in physics, too. Hi there!
My friends called me goofy footed . They surf and skate right foot forwards. So I use my right side to control my left foot. I did have severe head trauma prior to turning 9 years old.
It's deep. The darkness is right, and motor function is left, being made of the light of the body. "The Boundary Between Light and Darkness " is a book I wrote. I am still learning how it works. Nobody knows
this is probs random but what does it mean if ur brain feels like flat? like its going inwards 😐😐 my left side sometimes feels normal then the right side feels flat… my right side always feels like that but it never was like this before
If you use right it sucks you be weak mentally no confidence anxiety depression social anxiety so much down side only good for music and arts 0 social i switched to left by meditation your whole different person and inner peace
You may be more intuitive and doubt yourself less when reaching conclusions to problems but you may still use logic and follow processes, it is a beautiful thing.
I paid plenty of attention to math. I had a father who helped me with my math homework frequently. In 7th grade, I remember coming home with a page of division homework. My brother, who was in the 2nd grade, came in to see when I'd be done. He looked at the 5 problems I'd completed and told me two answers were wrong. He took out a piece of paper 📃 & a 🖊 pencil. ( yes I am that old!) In 15 mins he not only had completed the whole page, but when my father came in and looked over my brother's page all answers were correct! He definitely blew me out of the water. I had redone the ones that were wrong and a few more, still I had only a couple right answers. So what is the answer. Some say boys are just smarter at math. This is old wife's tale. I think the better question would be how can a school system fail a child so miserably! I was in LAUSD from K-12? Then I can ask the opposite question. My brother couldn't write a paragraph to save his life. He got A's in all subjects except English. How was this possible? So here we talk about two siblings at both ends of a spectrum. My brother's classes were to easy ( except for English). He couldn't get on the honor role to take advanced classes because he couldn't pass English. Me on the other hand, my only academic challenge wasn't math. I always tested into the highest reading groups. Within a few weeks, I'd be knocked down to a lower group. I could read almost anything put in front of me. I could sound out any word and be right almost every time. Thus reading was easy. Have you figured out the problem yet? It was comprehension! ... can you see why this would be a problem with all academics. So you might say kids at either end of spectrum are failed. I would be interested in other people's views. Is this still an issue?
When I've been giving tests for different things I have always scored to 50/50 brain capacity. And that was absolutely nothing I could have faked because I didn't even know that the tests included this. I can confirm that it is accurate for my left/right brain traits. I've always got good (even very good) outcomes and results on both logical and practical things. And I love to do "stuff that associates with both right/left brain activities".. 🤗🤗🤗🤗 Though I think I really need to get better at wrihting in english... 😂😂😂

Desire makes things happen, and a wise man said it is the root of suffering. I gave most all mine up, just wanna maintain for the most part.
Thank You

The whole left brain right brain concept it's not a concept of physics! The concept is metaphorical! 💯
Explain
Facts!💪🏿 And METAphysical.
I agree
not really if you look up rechearch in left or right hand people
You mean biology, not physics, in general terms.

Swara yoga ( part of Hatha yoga)is the science which explains the connection between breathing and how the two hemispheres function
I think these days a far more relevant distinction could be made between front and rear, with regards to people's behaviour and reasoning.
Does left and right share control of your vocal chords?
what if you have a stroke?

Someone told me if I start using left hand I lose logical reasoning not as good, true or false?
False bro…

False... just use your brain for what you want to do. You will be great at it !!

Now I know why am dumb in maths
No you didnt pay attention in elementary and youre looking for an excuse to depend on

We use both so idk what people are talking about left brain or right brain it’s nonsense plus I use both hands so I use both side equally lol
Thats cool ! I was born left handed and can sort of still use it to draw

I could use my brain when I'm doing art and math
I can write with both
left hand and write hand
I’m left handed my preferred foot is both and I’m left brain 🧠😅😅
I love videos like this
The old information is completely true. I have a talent for painting, intuition and art. But I'm a shit brain at math and logic.
Check your childhood trauma and how many times you were told you were shit brained at math and logic by terrible teachers
