  • I created this old school vs new school #valentines dance tribute for All the #beautiful Single Ladies! I absolutely love both choreography but #beyonce interpretation of #fosses #1969 #choreography is #Iconic . Admiring both dances side by side made my #vday …. This was me doing the Single Ladies routine in 2008 verses me trying to do it now! 🤣 #selfloveisthebestlove 💕

There is nothing new on this world. And yes @Teacherbae your are right my mom told me the same. Even Michael Jackson's slide called moonwalk, was first done by singers group Shalimar. I believe there was someone who did it even before Shalimar did it. Lol

She only "acknowledged" it when she once AGAIN got caught stealing other artist work and not given credit for it. I have zero respect for Beyonce, her actual talent is mid-level but the industry hype machine has allowed her to benefit from a celebrity stardom as though she's the most talented artist to ever walk the planet. She's bullsh@t and so is the industry for enabling this weave whipping hack.

Beyoncé has the best dance tributes! All dance styles and choreography are inspired by others. In fact, Bob Fosse’s the Frug evolved from The Twist. I also read that Fosse’s choreography was heavily influenced by his experience and research of the dances performed at the burlesque clubs and strip clubs and he brought it to broadway. Dance styles and choreography are all recycled goods. Here’s a video of me dancing Fosse’s the Rich Man’s Frug, “The Aloof” 🤭

Oh please!! A tribute?? Don't pee on my head and call it rain. This was flat out theft and Beyonce passed it off as her own, taking all the accolades and glory.
Now Kanye West looks like an even bigger ass for yanking that microphone away from Taylor Swift at the Grammy Awards and saying that it was Beyonce's Single Ladies that should have won Best Video.
And not once in response to that did Beyonce say that Taylor won Best Video fair and square because the Single Ladies video was copied - not inspired - nearly step for step from someone else in the 70s! Absolutely ridiculous.

Not just Beyonce but isn't it ALWAYS a new spin on dances, music (generation of sampling) and clothes??? Tiktok shows us all day long & there's a LOT who think a popular song is totally original & will argue because they don't know things prior to their years of life! Choreographers, fashion designers, stage set/video designers create from previous and the celeb makes it their own with their own flare. It's done all over the place, yet the only one I ever see BASHED is Beyonce! Why? Ppl are always trying to do new things especially those that have been in business as long as she has since 1998 at 16ish (hustling since 1990 as a child). I saw a post where a Gen Z'er was arguing and didn't know that Destiny's Child was originally a quartet🤦🏽‍♀️ with Letoya and Latavia and the 2 replacements (Michelle and the short-lived Farrah) only song over the already-laid tracks for the videos for the 2nd album. Back to the dances, I'm sure most have seen post with Cuff It song dubbed over Prince dancing & ppl screaming it was HIS dance. Ppl doing the challenges used that song & dance, not her. Also, the dance is an early 70s dance and early Prince didn't dance like that & I'm a fan from 79 (he did James Brown's style with spinning & splits). Ppl need to raise off her a bit with the trivial or at least list EVERYONE else since it seems to be such an offense! It would be a LONG list in every genre!

Beyonce does love her some Fosse. Find "Fosse Rich Man's Frug" and see what that reminds you of.

th-cam.com/users/shortsfOXwMoBk0Eg?feature=share The Rich Man’s Frug is another one of my fav dances, had to try it! Beyoncé has the best dance tributes! All dance styles and choreography are inspired by others. In fact, the Frug evolved from The Twist. I also read that Fosse’s choreography was heavily influenced by his experience and research of the dances performed at the burlesque clubs and strip clubs and he brought it to broadway. Dance styles and choreography are all recycled goods.

@@LMCCREATORS ❤ So true! I think Fosse would've been Beyonce's biggest fan and possible collaborator if their time on earth had been more aligned, she does everything so exquisitely!

There is very little of what you might call original art, only renewed & re-inspired combinations of the old to make them new again. Art is a conversation, conversation requires familiar terminology with only occasionally a new word created. Otherwise, it would be incomprehensible.

Lol, do y'all even know what inspiration means ? Y'all like to hate on Beyoncé so much. She definitely took some part of the original dance to make her own, but they are not the same at all. Y'all should be happy that artists still find ways to be creative and honor the work/heritage of former artists. I'm even more admirative of this choré now. She made a modern and fun interpretation of the previous dance. Y'all are trying to find ways to dig Beyoncé, but you're just making a fool of yourself for thinking that they are "exactly the same", and for being mad that she made new with the old. Every artist who does this should be proud of themselves because it takes some good fucking creativity to make something new and different out of a previous work.

Stop. She stole this. Just like she did with Countdown. Set designs, costumes and dance moves. The original is Rosa's danst Rosa's by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. Never asked for permission and i thought this ended up being a lawsuit.
Your Queen Bey is a manufactured pop star that takes a village to keep her relevant.
