Through The Scope 02-04-2020

This is the Moon through our large telescope. It's better with your own eyes but for the time being this is all we can offer!!
The wobbly view is due to the gasses in our atmosphere wobbling the light - not normally noticed other than twinkly stars. This was quite a turbulent night - views can be much better than this. Notable features are craters Posidonius and Archimedes, the Montes Caucasus mountains and the Alpine Valley...
