- India and Pakistan share a long border line from Ladakh to Gujarat. There are many villages on the LoC and border. Some of the villages are such that got divided with the partition. Teetwal in Kashmir is one of those villages. Teetwal was one village before the partition but now one part of the village is on Pakistan side and the other part is in India. On the Pakistan side is the Neelum valley and the nearest town is Muzzafarabad. The village located on the banks of Neelum river, the neelum river is the dividing line between India-Pakistan here. There are some popular villages like Keran sector, seemari or simari village alongside the LoC in Kashmir that are located right on the India Pakistan border. Keran and seemari villages have no fencing on India Pakistan border.

Thank you sir, this place is in Jammu & Kashmir UT, India, it won’t be possible to reach here in winter due to snow because it’s a remote village, but after March you can visit, for that you have to reach Srinagar (by road, train or flight) from there on either you can take a bus to Kupwara and further to Tangdhar, or you can hire a taxi from Srinagar. Thank you!

I have served in entire stretch of LOC. This is Kishanganga in India and Neelum in POJK.There are hundreds of such villages one part on our side and other in POJK

Checkposts on hill tops keep a vigil on the border. Once a united 1 village befire 1947 now barbed wires and landmines keep the two populations separate. Upto 1990 both populations visited each other side on mazar celebrations etc. Now stopped. 😢😢😢😢😢

I conducted a field survey of Sidhpora village in Teetwal block in 2013 from NABARD in jammu. SIDHPORA is also divided b/w India & Pakistan. A nallah divides the village.

Yes in India it’s called Kishanganga and in Pakistan it’s called Neelum
Not only pakistan, the other side of Kashmir is called pakistan occupied Kashmir that's correct.
