They played Sun City which made the pariahs (in spite of insisting the audience be mixed) and the fall out from that spilled over into people protesting against them even being at Live Aid. That performance basically relaunched them from what was their lowest point, and should have propelled them to new heights over the next decades (unfortunately Freddie's illness prevented that)
