    Jameson Original is the only whiskey I can drink purely for the taste. I discovered it only 2 years ago and feel that 70 years of my life were wasted drinking American whiskeys.

      @@choimdachoim9491 wym by purely for the taste? As opposed to what? And it's your favorite of ALL whiskeys including top shelf premium stuff? I'm so surprised that people speak so well of a bottom shelf cheap whiskey. If it's so great what even makes it bottom shelf? Lol 🤔 so American whiskeys don't taste good?

      @@sowhat... Regarding "top-shelf," I refuse to afford the $2,000.00 bottles I see at Costco. I drink at the most 2 bottles per year so affordable and tasty is plenty good for my uses. The American standards during my life have been Jim Beam and Jack Daniels and compared to Jameson they're like straight alcohol (almost as bad as stuff I've had many years ago south of the border.) 30 years ago I received the gift of a bottle of 25 year old Single Malt and it took me more than a year to finish it. Top Shelf doesn't mean tasty. I'm old so I don't drink for the "high."

    I found the original Jameson very harsh on the pallet, it’s on special offer in the local shop for €20 euros and I think that’s even to much for it.... I’d prefer the BB or Crested but my number one is Redbreast 12 year old. Thanks for sharing your review.

    I had Jameson Crested in Ned O'Shea's after the Jameson Experience tour a few years back. I have been looking for it in the States ever since. Maybe it looms large in my imagination since I have been unable to taste it since, but I remember it being excellent. Full points to you for tasting five different expressions of Jameson in a row. With so many similarities between the liquid, that would challenge most. Caskmates Stout is my current JJ favorite. Great value. Cheers!

      @@WhiskyShared You're not saying it but you're doing it. When a bottle of Irish Whiskey has a cork it is Malt, when it has a crew cap, it's blended. Also notice that the Scottish say Whisky and the Irish say Whiskey.
      The Irish are quite fanatic when it comes to their "usquebaugh" or "water of life".
      Personally I never tasted the Black Barrel but i love the Crested. That would be my number one.

    • @WhiskyShared
      @WhiskyShared  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      All Jameson in this blind taste test is blended. The cork is not an indicator of malt whiskey in Jameson bottles. Even the 18 year old cask strength which is £175 is a blend.
