I've just heard 1 IAF chief serving as board member of a company. But if we hear the recent press conference of current IAF chief, the concerns he raised were totally genuine. And he did the right thing by taking this conference, exposing the super sluggish PSUs and DRDO. Also stressed upon the need to improve squadron strength. So by his words, he doesn't seem to have any wrong intentions regarding the security and defense of our nation

I would like to ask these very Air Marshal's, when was the last time they backed Kaveri & LCA project or HF 24 & an earlier engine project whole heartedly? when did they think of providing all sort of resources including talent retention & tech hunting & developing metallurgy & chips kind of tech in house with R&D money with some painful decision making capabilities to ditch imports & fully support desi projects with actual seriousness, when did they say, yes this is what we have for now, but let's induct it slowly & find/hunt/poach guys who can help develop it at faster rate & come on top? when did we see an actual serious effort from these very Air Marshals towards indigenous projects vis a vis foreign imports. if only there were a tab on their greed for commission money & high paid jobs at foreign MIC's through imports, we would have done tremendous progress regarding indigenous defence projects.
