      Yeah, this was the 3rd time i’ve watched Jermaine and he never disappoints - absolute wrecking ball!

    Jermaine is so strong and constantly putting pressure on his opponents he will go far 🥊👊

      Yeah I was really impressed with Jermaine in this fight and his Semi final win again Louis Ward. Having not been active he certainly performed really well on both bouts.

    Good fight, very scrappy. I've seen Fred box before, he's really good, he keeps it long and has powerful punches. He usually comes forward himself but Jermaine just didn't let him do that. Jermaine looks like a nightmare to deal with, super fit, keeps coming forward and works on the inside.

    • @BoxingTunes
      @BoxingTunes  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’d say more cagey than scrappy but I agree with you on the whole. I was really looking forward to seeing Fred box having been following him on TikTok since his Haringey win and he didn’t disappoint. I really like his style of boxing, it’s perhaps taking him a little longer to fully develop the man strength. All the best to Jermaine will be great if he goes all the way in the Nationals.

    Fred Pullen is a senior enlgand boxer and has done well at tournaments but struggled domestically , i think hes still yet to win a national title but looks like hes always improving
    First time watching Jermaine should really be on the England Suad hopefully he does well in the rest of the ABAs
    Got to add the rings proabaly abit too small aswell for a Senior Championship

    • @BoxingTunes
      @BoxingTunes  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That’s correct, Fred is a 5 x National finalist but yet to win one.
      Not sure why Jermaine has been inactive since winning London last year but also hope he doesn’t will in the nationals and goes on to rep England.

      How Tf does that make sense how can Fred box for England if he hasn’t won the regionals

    • @BoxingTunes
      @BoxingTunes  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      He’s a 7 x London Champ - you’d need to look up the EB selection criteria to get an exact answer I had a look but could only find it for the youth:

      @dbee101 makes no sense. Its favouritism. Yesterday Fred was selected again over Jermaine and Will Hewit who were the national gold and silver

      I did hear that about Chisora being his uncle but wasn’t sure if it was true or not so thanks for confirming. I did wonder where he was before St Pancreas as I hadn’t seen him before Haringey Box Cup last year. Very talented kid and the heart of a lion! Hopefully see more of him going forward. Thanks for the insight it’s really appreciated

    I know this is probably too much but can you upload the fights with no commentary as well because at times big shots are landing and it would be nice to hear the crowds reaction.

      I’ll keep your feedback in mind and try not to talk over any meaningful shots with the crowd reacting.

    If the first two rounds was from the last rounds view I reckon it would’ve been proof that pullen did better than ppl thought. Personally I think he’s more skilled overall and will do better if ever turning pro. Both missed a lot at times, mine seem like Jermaine landed a lot of body shots however a lot were blocked and slight sloppy punches , pullen just has better technique and combos

    • @BoxingTunes
      @BoxingTunes  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Pullen very slick and sharp technically I think Jermaine was just a bit too strong from him. Couldn’t separate them in the first round was very close. I think I’ll upload Fred’s semi final in full at some stage as he really displayed his technical ability in that one and it was a very good fight.

  • @kthomas8968
    @kthomas8968 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

    Im a EB judge. Imo Blue won all 3 rounds.
    Round 1 was close, red was abit too negative. Not really boxing on the back foot more just holding.
    Round 2 blue clear round
    Round 3 blue clear round (in the end). Red started well then blues pressure took over
    I think red just cant handle blues body shots and pressure in the end. Good win

    • @BoxingTunes
      @BoxingTunes  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you so much for your input it’s really appreciated - specially as you are an EB judge shedding light on your perspective.
      I think Fred needs another year or two to really find his man strength and you are right he did start to hold more after round one and I think he had a point deducted too.

      Jermaine has today won again the Quarters by UD and by the clips I've seen it was another great bout and he counted the other boy a couple of times. Hope he goes on to win it. Very Errol Spence like

    black kid's got mad skill and a great defence. cant fuck with the high guard like that, catching the other kids punches easily. would like to see some more lateral movement, would have really confused the other kid

    • @BoxingTunes
      @BoxingTunes  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah Jermaine’s defence is on-point and very effective. He bobs and weaves his way nicely out of harms way along with that high guard and clever use of the lead hand: doesn’t overly commit throwing the jab but sticks it out and works behind it still. His semi final bout highlights against Louie Ward is in one of the road to the NAC finals videos - highly recommend checking it out

      To me it looks like 16ft. In championships it can be between 16-20ft. In regular amatuer bouts it can be between 14-20 ft

      It wasn’t sarcasm it was a literal statement of fact. It ultimately comes down to preference and whilst you’re entitled to yours, I don’t have change the format to try and please each and every person and the overwhelming feedback is people prefer the insights given in the commentary.
