So happy it ended this way! This was the only way for Neal to be truly free - the ultimate con! The MINUTE Peter opened the package and said it was a Bordeaux wine bottle, I freaking lost it and just KNEW Neal was alive! Can't believe Peter didn't catch on quickly - the fact that Kate left clues for Neal using a Bordeaux wine bottle, now Neal sent him a clue with the same method. Such a great callback to the first episode / storyline. I am glad he chose to give Peter a hint that he is alive:)) Look at how ecstatic and relieved Peter is when finds out ahhh - he can sleep peacefully now!
Neal got the iron clad release order signed by Attorney General and he faked his death to stay out of harms way from the Pink Panthers ( in the future). The biggest Con... but he has to meet Sara in Paris.
So very true. I love a good scripted film and TV series ending. Some I know have said that it does show real life. I don’t watch for real life (unless it’s historical or history based), I have had plenty of that in real life. Work as a hospital nurse for decades and then throw in personal life incidences/tragedies - - that’s more than enough!!!
Neal knew all those close to him were in danger... He also knew that the FBI may not keep their promise and that would destroy Peter... Or it was just wishful thinking... A great intelligent show... Loved it
Even if FBI kept their promise, the reality was Neal has done so much, that one way or another his ghosts will haunt him. Alone, he can fight them. But Peter and El would be at constant risk, they both have been kidnapped, got hurt because of his past. And then El was pregnant, Neal knew he couldn't stay there because sooner or later, baby's life would be in danger. So he did the best thing he could
People keep saying that he ran away to save those close to him from the Pink Panthers' revenge, and I really don't understand. Why are you all so convinced that the Pink Panthers must want to revenge Neal (through Peter and his family) but not Peter himself? Neal brought him to that robbery, showed him to the Panthers; and there's hardly any probability that in prison and during their trial they didn't find out who he was and that he was as fake as Neal and as responsible for their arrest as Neal (well, maybe Neal did most of the work, but Peter also did a lot.) So why are they supposed to blame only Neal and to want to punish only Neal but not Peter??? Because he's an FBI agent, and his FBI will protect him? But in this case Neal's escape is needless and senseless, Peter is protected without it. Because they are under sentence now and not dangerous any more? Well, even if you never heard of revenge from prison, Keller said it loud and clear that the Panthers would get Neal from the deepest prison (or whatever his wording was.) So why??? Will anyone please explain? Also about the FBI not keeping their promise - it looks like nobody (including the show creators) remembers that his prison time was already almost up (which, when you think of it, actually makes all this hunt for the Panthers quite needless), and how on Earth could they not release him after that??? Is USA really that lawless that it's not a problem to keep a person in prison after his prison time is over?
This show was so good. Had a great ending and it was brilliant all throughout its 6 seasons. Very few shows can achieve that. The cast had great chemistry and of course peter and neal were the best duo with mozzie complementing them so well.
i love to picture that years later Peter is on a vacation with his wife and son and they run into Neal randomly and him and peter just hug like its no big deal while Elizabeth cries upon seeing Neal and then they all have a great time while Neal shows them around in Paris.
I love how Peter's son is called Neal. Peter was always a father-figure to Neal and when I realised they called their son Neal to immortalise Neal when I thought he'd died ughhh i cried even more
Neal was always selfish, the logic fails in why he went into hiding & faking his death. Peter also went undercover with the Panthers & is able to live a safe life with wife/baby. So Neal could have stayed too...think about it!

What an amazing show! For all those who are saying they need to bring White Collar back, I say hell to the no. Neal got his happy ending, his happily ever after, his new life - his new FREE life. Peter knows that Neal is still alive and can sleep easy at night knowing that. 9 out of 10 times they bring a show back, they screw it all up, and that isn’t necessary here. Agreed. This show had the perfect ending! Rarely have I been totally wowed and fascinated by an ending to a TV Show. This and "Breaking Bad" takes the cake! Bringing it back now would diminish it. PLUS, it would be quite impossible to do so, since the actor who played Mozzie passed away, as well as the actress who played Neal's landlord, Diahann Carroll. It would be an injustice to do so... 😕 Overall, a perfect ending. Couldn't agree more... 😎👍
In my heart, Kate and Neal are alive, living in Paris, eating at an outdoor cafe when Michael Caine sees Neal, he ever so slightly smiles and nods, and walks away..... Oh crap that's batman

If any of you watched the House finale and remember how House let Foreman know he was alive, the playing card is probably something that Neal left Moz to let him know Neal was alive. And yes, Peter smiling gleefully at the newspaper definitely means that he will give chase. I demand a White Collar film!
I always liked how, even with the earlier scene where Mozzie says he accepts his death, the queen at the end says that Mozzie knew the whole time and just had to keep Peter in the dark long enough to sell his death to the FBI
The creators of the show said the smile meant the chase was on again, but unless Peter gets a job with Interpol, he's not going to have any authority outside the USA.
What I fucking love about this scene is that - now that Peter knows he’s alive, so does Elizabeth! He’d never be able to keep this from her, they’re too honest with each other. And now that Elizabeth and Peter know he’s alive, so does Mozzie (if he didn’t know already) and if Mozzie knows, then so does June, he trusts her more than most. I genuinely believe there will be a small group of them that know Neal’s still alive and I love that!
It's implied mozzie had already found the container as the queen that he was shown to have was left in the container and he also said he was leaving so he could be going to Paris to meet neal

Best ending ever! I cried so much when I thought Neal was dead 😅 and poor mozzie you can tell he really lost his best friend but indeed this was the only way for Neal to truly be free.
They said it a few times - number 1 mistake people on the run make is reaching out to people they left behind. So Neal didn't reach out, he left breadcrumbs behind to point the way.
hated that las few seconds to no end, because again he ended alone, no friend, no partner, no lover. And most of his character development was how important were his relationships and not wanting to be alone
I think the ending was beautiful as it is, they will probably ruin it if for some reason they decide to bring back the show. And that queen at the end was like cherry on top, stroke of a genius from writer. Please dont ruin this beautiful story.
And all that started only because this Neal needed to break out of prison 3 months before his sentence would be over just to find out that his girl left. And he even would have found her after the 3 months aswell because Adler still needed him.
Very few shows end as well as White Collar. Great all the way through. Very satisfying considering I have been emotionally burned by several series' endings. Castle for example.

Season 7 is in works
I loved this series!
I need a reunion so much :( miss this show!
Best ending ever! I cried so much when I thought Neal was dead 😅 and poor mozzie you can tell he really lost his best friend but indeed this was the only way for Neal to truly be free.
One of the best tv show ending!
I like to think that in the end he was going to find Sarah
If the ending was right b4 this scene it would have been the worst scene in TV history. I love this part!!!!!!
They said it a few times - number 1 mistake people on the run make is reaching out to people they left behind. So Neal didn't reach out, he left breadcrumbs behind to point the way.
Neal had to do this to get free & make sure peter el etc… be safe from them and the way peter looked he’s never been prouder
hated that las few seconds to no end, because again he ended alone, no friend, no partner, no lover. And most of his character development was how important were his relationships and not wanting to be alone
Peter has always been the sort of guy you want as an adoptive father.
Love you Neil bad ass best ending in a show I cried my eyes out when I thought you passed all off us need a happy ending
I think the ending was beautiful as it is, they will probably ruin it if for some reason they decide to bring back the show.
And that queen at the end was like cherry on top, stroke of a genius from writer. Please dont ruin this beautiful story.
I pray to god they do season 7 I am attached to this show
And all that started only because this Neal needed to break out of prison 3 months before his sentence would be over just to find out that his girl left.
And he even would have found her after the 3 months aswell because Adler still needed him.
I like to think he met back up with Sara
BRING THIS SHOW BACK!!!!!!! Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I miss this show.
I can’t be the only one who watched the whole show years ago and never realised Neal doesn’t die for years I was sad how did I not realise 😭😭
They have to reboot this show!!!
I miss this show sm
👍👍👏👏❣️‼️ One of the few well liked TV series, with a really good ending. Another is ‘The Fugitive’ TV series!!
Very few shows end as well as White Collar. Great all the way through. Very satisfying considering I have been emotionally burned by several series' endings. Castle for example.
Always save the best con for last.
