And the inside jersey looks as hideous as you'd expect due to that. On the good side, it'll probably rank high in the ugliest jersey competitions in the future.
It is crazy how many people u see wearing this jeresey on the drew side in Toronto. Especially teens and young adults. I think they hit their target market with this. I was at a concert at Scotiabank and saw at least 6 different guys wearing this in the span of 20 min.
Love to watch when you’re both on the video! But maybe at your new house you can set up a cubicle like the old Hollywood Squares show so that all your cats and bunnies have their own square! 😁
My son ordered this as soon as he saw it and he loves it!! I have to admit the blue/black side is amazing! I love it also. The yellow side is for kids/young people, so it isn’t made for me, and I appreciate that I am not the target audience for the yellow side. Everyone getting hung up on it just needs to get over it because they are probably an old fart, and that is not who the yellow side of the jersey is for anyway. My son loves this jersey, he wears it proudly, and that’s all that matters. He’s 20, I’m 50, so that’s the difference. People complaining about the yellow side are just showing their age, no offence.
This is my opinion as someone in the middle. You said you were 50 and your son is 20. I'm 35. The one big thing I can agree with you on is that it's all personal preference and that your son loves it and wears it with pride. If he's happy with it, Great 👍 👌. We don't all need to agree on what the next guy likes and dislikes. I Love the black and blue side. Truly wish that was their regular jersey. My issue with it comes in right here... I Really don't like that particular yellow. I definitely think there were better options out there. So aside from the color issue, the part that probably bothers me the most is that it looks like the initial effort to design something new was there. The follow through and lack of either planning or quality control at the other end was just not there. If they found a way to blend or hide some of the folds and thread ends to not look rushed and sloppy I think I'd like it a lot more..... Even with that yellow. Anyway, hope you made it to the end. I was going to buy a Demko jersey for myself next month but my cousin talked me into halfvsies for her son's 12th birthday, $120 to get him an Oilers McDavid jersey. I had to do it, when I was a kid in Winnipeg during the 70s & 80s Edmonton was hated by all my friends but I wore a Gretzky jersey, I see a little bit of me in the kid.
I have a reversible jersey for a beer league team. thought it was a fun idea at first until you realize it's just two jerseys stitched together making it heavy and HOT. Plus it was sublimated so not very comfortable/breathable either

We have had reversible jersey for two years. The K1 brand is not sewn it is all printed. We have the blue on one side and white on the other. This for high school varsity team. It is doable.

I'm with Yvonne 100% I also sew and there are so many ways to do seams that are appropriate finishing for an actually reversible jersey. There are a bunch of different fabrics as well that can achieve a proper reversible effect without adding additional weight, though I do think they should have just accepted that this is a novelty jersey and made it reversible by lining it so you don't get the tags and jersey size etc visible on the "reversed" side. Which currently is just the inside-out side. And just leave the fight strap off, that's silly. And they could have incorporated the "Honour Pride Courage" bit on the outside of the jersey, like into the sleeve stripes, into the logo, or embroidered or printed into the shoulder/back yoke. They had the opportunity to make a really cool jersey that was actually properly reversible and they whiffed. It's just inside out. The serged seams are atrocious.

Later, when I saw the bunny scoot from the lower left to the right side in a flash, I began to wonder if the rabbit is not completely blind, it can make its way around rather well.
That's not the blind bun, she is gray, and she knows where all the spots are on the tree. We had to watch her closely until she figured it out as she rolled off a few times.
Reversible might be new to the NHL, but the NFL did that in the late 90s. I have a reversible black/blue Dallas Cowboys jersey in my closet and it looks much better then this when reversed.
I mean, I agree the yellow side is a little goofy. But I think that's what they were going for. I think the stitching being roof was supposed to add the stitching. Only thing I think was really lazy was the tail tag.
I hate to say it being a leafs fan, but i agree with Yvonne.... it's an inside out Jersey and not reversible. However, i do really like the black and blue side with the details of blackening the logo and the faint skyline on the sleeve. 8.5/10 Overall from me.
It would be a 9.2 if the stitches were hidden and a 10 if the reverse was a the same blue but white wherever it's black on the dark side (even the logo with the fading and the buildings on the sleeves).
I bought it because I love the main design since it's black and blue (my favorite color scheme). But I could care less about the inside and will likely never flip it inside out lol

That's really weird, I ordered the same jersey but I feel like mine has better stitching on the inside. I guess maybe sizes have differences, Im a bigger guy so I ordered a 5xl so maybe I got like a goalie jersey. Don't know why they are different. Important to mention, I don't have a fight strap on the inside not sure why, probably cause they know if your wearing a 5xl jersey, you're not straping on skates 😂

This is literally my favourite jersey... And with the reversible thing they are doing something new... because technically you can reverse it even if the stitching isn't the best. I like both sides, but even if you dont like the yellow side, the front is incredible especially with all the little details.

About those reversible Jersey Toronto jerseys just get the fanatic ones and there's no fighting strap when you wear it inside out.

The point of being reversible is for one side to be home colour and the other side to be away white.

That's really weird, I ordered the same jersey but I feel like mine has better stitching on the inside. I guess maybe sizes have differences, Im a bigger guy so I ordered a 5xl so maybe I got like a goalie jersey. Don't know why they are different. Important to mention, I don't have a fight strap on the inside not sure why, probably cause they know if your wearing a 5xl jersey, you're not straping on skates 😂

the thing with me is I have been a leaf fan all my life but I have never seen a blue leaf in nature HA HA I can never understand the reasoning we have all seen a yellow leaf LOL
This is literally my favourite jersey... And with the reversible thing they are doing something new... because technically you can reverse it even if the stitching isn't the best. I like both sides, but even if you dont like the yellow side, the front is incredible especially with all the little details.
