Although the MG is finally here, this review convinced me to pick up the HG yesterday. It was at my local hobby shop for around $10. I am in the middle of building it and although it is dated and everything that comes along with that, I am really enjoying this kit. Definitely worth picking up if you see one at the right price.
the lack of paint apps on all of the hg 00 kits has been my bane on all of these. this one need so much attention and it was the last one I built a few months ago.
I literally built this one over the weekend, lol. I felt so conflicted during the build, especially once I realized it had no beam saber effects or the pistols. Somewhere after building the torso I felt like the build just slowed to a crawl and was the most tedious thing ever. The joints were pretty tight on mine as well, especially the wrists, and one of the shoulder mechanisms does seem a lot looser than the other, and doesn't lock in as well. But...after all that, once I had it together and started playing with the posing, I started liking it more and more. It does look like it'll pose well, and that rifle looks great (minus rhe extended bipod). I've still got to do some panel lining and touch up yet. Also, the gem parts on the arms are giving me some trouble. just can't seem to get them in there just right and make them stay.
Leave it to Bandai to make something complicated, we already have round beam saber holes but now they make rectangular ones... does HG Exia have these beam sabers? It should have 2
Gundam 00's 10 year anniversary is coming and since we saw a lockon stratos figurise bust, would it be crazy to assume we might be getting a MG Dynames by Q3 of 2017?
+blaze084 I have trouble imagining them doing any of the support Gundams from 00, since if they do one, they're kind of obligated to do all three. I think something like the Reborns is more likely. Or the 0 Gundam.
The problem with Dynames is that in the show Lockon I never used the beam sabers equipped to his suit, telling the CB engineer that Dynames would never get into CQC. Until he faced Graham.
it wasn't especially designed for agressive melee combat , but it had in case , as Neil/Lockon was trained as a sniper , he disliked the idea he would have to use the Beam Sabers , he only used because Ali Al-Saachez had a sword and he was getting too close to shoot
+M E Dynames' handles are designed to hold the flat style beam effects. 00 uses the usual round ones. Astray Red Frame w/ Flight Unit and most of the AGE HGs include flat blades if you're looking for a pair.
Yeah it's mine is the real grade but came in a p bandai red box cost me £90 so yeah as far as I care for that price it's premium most expensive real grade kit i found so far. I'm building it on my channel but I'm custom painting it with a master chief theme livery. need 1/144 scale '117' water slides lol
+Eyon Klyve that is correct, but the GN Arms Type D is damn near impossible to get ahold of nowadays, sadly. So Astraea Type F is still the better option right now, even if the holsters aren't compatible.
'Akashah Deox I prefere real grades they should do more 00 kits in real or p bandai not just the exia I love celestial being and trinity suits but mg kits I think are better suited for elite suits like sazabi and delta plus etc not a fan of hg as they are so basic so got to model the fuck out of them to make em pop. which real grade does by itself. bit I can't not hate hg 00 kits older hg are terrible but they have improved their plastics and moulds
Unless you've got a preference for High Grades I'd recommend waiting for the Master Grade to come out. I've built the No Grade 1/100 version back when it first came out and it does show its age (still a good kit though) BUT it comes with all its accessories including the GN pistols! You can always hunt for an HG Dynames+GN Arms D type which includes the pistols that were missing from the standard kit. Up to you really!

i must have gotten a much latter model of this kit as i got the separate arms for the bi-pod that moved individually up and down from each other and on top of that i got beam sabers beams with mine also the side attachments for the pistols along with the pistols
For some reason, whatever action toy line it is, people call the snipers crap. (It happened in nerf with the long shot, and the centurion, then now it's on gundam with the dynames) why can't people respect snipers?
+Dillon Brown it's not nearly as bad as the Sinanju. The waist can disconnect a little easier than it should, but other than that it's a fine kit. Easily the best GP01 kit out there.
Channel 2S: Gunpla News and Reviews good to hear I got the sinanju and it was my first real grade. Its half glue now and barely sits on the stand. I didn't know if that was the standard for rgs or if the sinanju is just that bad.
+Dillon Brown no, the Sinanju is a disaster. So is the Zeta. The rest of the RG line is way better than those two. The Gundam Mk II is best, and the rest of the line sans RX-78-2, Zaku II, Freedom, and Strike Freedom is pretty good.

Ive always seen this in stores and never bothered to pick it up and im glad that i recently did. One heck of a build. Relaxing and not tedious.
Im really liking the Dynames, not just for the small things but the overall design of it.
Dynames is on my "to get in 2019" list.
It's on my "kitbash parts for 2019" list. I hate the boxybess of the second armor layer, but it has potential in a couple spots.

The 1/144 Dynames + GN ARMS type D came with the GN pistols + holsters that actually could plug to the legs.

actually they did release pistols for the dynames as well as remolded parts to attach the holsters, but they came with the gn arms type D

Wishful thinking. The Dynames was my favorite out of the four in season 1 too. I think a Reborns release would be very interesting to see.

The GN Arms Type D came with the GN pistols before they released the Astraea.

maybe,my box has the HG on it but its also a 1/100 scale as thats all i buy with few exception

has any one built the rg gpo1fb? I really love that suit but if it is anything like the sinanju rg I want nothing to do with it.
