No, he never got the tower, so the shrines were never open or rendered in the first place. Getting the tower activates the shrines, but he never activated any of them, thus he must clip through each one, because they were never opened.

Hypothetically, 278 runs ago, he might have done 11 seconds better on the "statis" section, and last year someone else got through cryonis section 7 seconds faster. Those runs weren't necessarily records, but they had one fast segment. "Best Possible" is the sum of those fastest-ever individual segments from across 9 different runs.

Having just beating it the traditional way after taking back the guardians, this version of the Ganon boss fight is more the level of epic that I was expecting.

It's not separate times. The Wii u loads about 5 seconds on average for some cases while the switch runs the game better overall iirc. So short runs like this use the Wii u while in longer runs the overall performance averages out so they use switch
@@thibautnoah2599 just because you see the game being played at higher resolutions, and a higher framerate doesn't make the run valid. Emulation is typically frowned upon in the speed run community. Also, not everyone has the processing power to emulate this on PC.

Also, the door to the shrine hadn't loaded at all so he could just walk in without clipping through.

If you do all the main quests it's not that many

Those boss fights are normally spread out over the course of (typically) dozens of hours. Any boss fights you skip you get to make up for it at the very end.
