Karl Franz might be lost in the upcoming Age of Sigmar but he's still one of the inspiring emperors of who led the the Empire of Mankind
im not too well versed in AoS but if im not mistaken he is one of the generals in sigmar's Stormcast Eternals armies.

It's widely theorised that he may have been the first of the Stormcast. The Celestant Prime, the one who currently wields Ghal Maraz into battle once more. Makes sense to me!

Also "They thought I was too young to rule the land". In the lore elector-counts were seeing young Karl with great contempt as he was "too young, inexperienced and untested" to become new emperor.

This song always makes me want to drop whatever current play through I am on in TW: WH 2 and play as him. I can never get tired of playing as the Empire. Especially, with the Grimhammer 2 mod since it makes the game different and a lot harder.
May I also recommend Sigmar's Heirs? Actually, there are a ton of awesome Empire mods. There are a ton of awesome mods for this game, period. :D

Making this post after hearing this for the first time. It's also my first time hearing the band and this style of metal, period.
My prevailing thoughts up until about midway through first chorus:

Salvation and war hammer. A good combination.
I may have begun this song and my love for Sabaton over a decade ago with a video about the God Emperor, but even though I chuckled and said 'oh come on' as I heard the opening, I was still grinnin'. Was fun, nice work.
