+cankecan No...it was the semi-title track to the Pointer Sisters' "So Excited" album in 1982; it was a single then but only made Top 30 on the pop charts. When their next album, "Break Out," began hitting it big in early '84, they added "I'm So Excited" to the album and re-released it as a single. That's when it was a big hit. But they had promoted the song on several TV shows back in '82 -- the Merv Griffin Show, for one -- and I think this is from that time.
