I literally have just bought this machine and for the price you can't really go wrong, thank you for the video, I'm new to it and have just got everything I need to start, can't wait to get out there!
Another great video Sid. Thanks for taking time to test both park modes but special thanks for testing the field mode alongside these. I love your videos - no airs or graces just down to earth good old honest observations! Cheers Sid!
Thanks for sharing your video mate got my simplex just before lockdown, it's all fully updated and I'm ready to get hunting once it's safe for us all to go out again
Thanks for the heads up on the update. I just took mine out on the new Park1 mode in my 250m2 nail-filled back garden/orchard in a 500yr old village. I had already got to the point that there was nothing non-ferrous showing up (perhaps 60/70 hours of pottering). In that time have found scattered coins from each of the last 400 years (a total of 7 very old and more recent), shells, bells and trash mostly down to around 20cm. ... but my goodness having just scanned again with the updated Simplex, the soil has started talking to me again. I have yet to dig the signals, but I suspect I am now going down a further 10cm. I get the sense that the targets are smaller and more difficult to catch (with the slower return) but I am hoping for some more maybe older treasure.
@@englandshistory So far, have had to ease off digging in the family 'lawn' as summer approaches as the dig rings show up. On pasture scans, I do however notice more depth (between park 1 and 2) and all tinier fragments are better picked up. I haven't been hindered by the slowness of the return in park 1 though, as iron is less present. However on a 400m2 area on a hill ridge - which I have been scanning with another pal (on a basic Garrett Ace) - I have hoovered up 22 of the 25 coins so far (pre and post software update) over a period of 6 outings.
I'm not very techy and I can't find the users manual lol is it easy to install the update? I'm just waiting to prize the laptop from my daughter to have a go👍
Very good demonstration, today I went hunting with the new update and mistakenly hunted in park two for six hours instead of park one, oh well good excuse to go out again Tomorrow to patch up my mistake:)
I think I've managed to binge watch all your videos now and cant wait to see new ones out in the field. My new Equinox 800 is sitting staring at me( hurry up Covid 19 and go away)
Thanks for the video I have a request ALL METAL MODE hunting or test no one has a video on it. With my other detectors ALL METAL is all I use I would like to see what the simplex sounds and acts like... Thanks
Think that be my next machine. My tx 850 has done great for the price found me gold an lots of silver just couldn't afford simplex yet. Great vid tho sid 😁👍
Is it that chatty in real world use?? I have a nvild school v3i and was thinking of getting a simplex as an alternative...but couldn't live with the amount of chatter you have in this vid... unfortunately where I live there is zero chance of simply trying one out ...
It depends how you like to run it... nokta makro have catered for all... the version 2.76 is more aimed at experienced users and v2.77 is more at beginners with out chatter
they still go over in the states,i still go. not exactly a contact sport being on your own in a field,u r no threat 2 the nhs only if u r silly enough 2 have a crash, and u r not saving lives by being in the house,my opinion
