It has nothing to due with standing there and you were very thorough with all you did.

How in the world do you expect a groomer to groom a dog if it's laying down. Yes....maybe a geriatric dog while working on it's face, but that's about it. If the dog here wanted to sit on it's bum to take a break from standing, it could have very well done so, ya know. It's not harnessed in a standing position and being forced.
