But back then she used tracked hair and the weave bonding and did an awesome job of transforming that sweet lady’s hair into a look that made her proud to look at herself in a mirror. I’m almost sure this lady shed some tears looking at herself. Absolutely gorgeous. Now that same friend is balding in the top and would like to try Sister Locks. I like this vid and new approach to locs extentions, i have alopecia (persistent, patchy) since I was a child. (40s now) It's very frustrating when you start to thin, I can't use Rogaine because I also have excema and scarring, I use prescription cream and tea tree to moisturize my scalp, when seasons change, I wear smaller made extentions in winter for to be light on my hair and scalp.I love loc Extensions and been wearing them since 2019 and glad I learn to do them because I would still be unhappy with the thinning and patchyness and shaving all my hair off🤦🏾♂️ I kno it prally worsen as I age but right now i gotta say one the best decision in my life, and if my scalp get to this stage as I age I may learn this for my future. Thank you

It grew back beautifully by 2022...full and thick with one tiny bald spot on the far right nape of my neck. I was very happy with the progress. Then I got too happy wearing banana clips early 2023 which caused some traction alopecia in the top. Over a year later and going to the dermatologist, getting steroid injections, taking oral medications, and a topical solution, my hair has been coming back over the past 4 mos. I'm 3 1/2 mos into my loc journey now and it is growing well. I wish I had started the loc journey 2 years ago before my hair started thinning. I'm excited about the journey though. I pray her hair grows back.

OMG! I am in awe of this stylist's skills. The hair looked amazing and I was almost in tears when I saw the result. No one can understand how alopecia makes a woman feel unless the person has experienced it her or himself. It is debilitating, embarrassing, humiliating and attacks your self-confidence and esteem with a vengeance. I loved the end results but I am concerned with how long this lasts and what effects does the glue have on the scalp? Can you wash your hair with the toupee? I do know this: I'm sure the young lady felt wonderful when she left the shop. I am still awed.
With all due respect, this is not "helping the issue," but in fact ADDING to the preexisting problem. Just the location of the glue alone on the affected area (bald spot) will most likely hinder the possibility of hair growth, despite that so called "scalp protectant concoction" that was slathered all over her scalp. All she did was basically put a bandaid over the problem. The sad part is that these "stylists" know that these sorts of methods in no way make the hair restoration process any easier if there's any possibility whatsoever of regrowth. Everyone wants a quick fix these days and wonder why they see zero results later..... I really feel for that client.

Because there is NO permanent solution into fixing Alopecia. This isn't to grow hair, but to uplift the client spirits and self esteem through the look of having it. Hair is a Temporary fix for these ailments. Alopecia scalps don't have cures like for thinning it's all treatments pills or cream form.. The scalp in video will not be able to fully grow if at all very little. The rest of her hair full, she wants to look "normal" and this woman really did help her in attaining the "look"

It's just a matter of doing your due diligence of extensive research. Hence the reason I mentioned in my previous comment methods such as this one hindering *ANY POSSIBILITY* of regrowth. Had you read my comment in its entirety & actually comprehended it, you would've come across the words "possibility of regrowth." Those keywords alone most likely would've shut down your idea of responding with an 80 page thesis. As for "praying," I don't believe in that foolishness, nor do I believe in the BUY-BULL, but you continue chanting to an imaginary "higher power" & let's see how long it takes for sis' hair to be restored....🤦🏾♀️ Now, if we're done, I'd like to get back to enjoying my last day off.
