They used to be Criminal Damage *from Eastbourne); I saw them supporting bands like Conflict, and they were on a No Future sampler 12" called Country for heroes. English Dogs influenced them in a way more metal direction. I saw Virus supporting Death Angel in 1988.
This was already old when I was 12 in '95 and a neighbour cleaned out his glovebox and gave me a dubbed cassette simply labeled 'Virus'. So nice to have such easy access to it 25 yrs ltr and learn more of the band thru the internet.
VIRUS is one of my favorite groups. I have their three original LPs, Pray For War, Force Recon and Lunacy. And although my favorite is Lunacy, I recognize that the best and most authentic production is this one. Thanks for uploading the audio and greetings from Spain.
Brillante LP del que también poseo el original, te recomiendo tener sus tres LP. Todos son de otro mundo, pero estoy de acuerdo contigo que este es el más bestia de todos. BRUTAL. Saludos desde Valencia.
@@ironcharm00 eeeew cringe such an anarchist hahaha. Why do anything at all then? If you wanna do everything your way against the grain... SO DONT BLAIM OTHERS WHEN THEY DO SHIT THERE WAY. Ive seen your comments dogging others opinions. Well your opinion and work sucks too. Really tho. Get a grip. 2+2 is not 5. There are curtain ways to do something SO YOUR CULT OR TRIBE KNOWS WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT. DUUUU? But your so unique you connect with no one right? Just so tired of lazy ass fucks is all.
Had the Original Album bought here in Germany pretty much when it came out, not many ppl had heard of them bitd tho. xd s1 stole this album with my other around 4k Vinyls and more stuff No.2 is for YOU! xd
With all due respect to the people who like this, i think it's one of the worst Thrash records issued in the 80's. Their second LP ("Force Recon") is way better.
Yeah... To me it is as listenable as Pure Fucking Armageddon by Mayhem or something like that. It isn't so much about the low recording quality which I don't really care for as it is for their timing. It sounds like the singer, drummer and guitarist are in different time signatures and speeds most of the time. It sounds like they all do their own thing and don't really work together.

@@HeavyMetalNerd Exactly. At least on "Force Recon" the playing is a bit tighter and the sound is clearer.
