    Hope this works out successfully for you Charlie...I've always had issues keeping my humidity high enough with the brinsea I have (without the humidity apparatus). I've used almost a full sheet of felt inside to keep the humidity up enough for the chicks not to shrink wrap themselves. I agree with you about keeping the eggs safe away from handling. I freak out when I see people opening the incubator repeatedly....especially when near the hatch date....they don't realize it....but are greatly reducing their chances of hatching successfully..... Can't wait for these ducks! Good Luck 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

    I know this video is old but I wanted to ask, will the eggs be clear until day 8? I have duck eggs incubating right now, I’m on day 6 and don’t see any veins.

      Hey! To answer your question you should definitely be able to see embryo development by day 7 , you should be seeing some veins. Any eggs that appear to still just have a light round yolk in them are likely not fertile.

      @@Ashley.Faithhh Thank you for answering! I candled them again today and still nothing so I cracked them open and they were all spoiled. Nothing fertile in there.

    I have looked on TH-cam for the follow up video on dry hatching and could not find anything so I am assuming that dry hatching didn't work out.

      I asked 11 months ago, and no one replied for a follow up, so I just let it go.
      I took a hint really well .
      I do have videos on my TikTok of all of them hatching so maybe I’ll put a TikTok video together but then again, no one asked. After doing this for 16 years, it’s been hard to keep editing since my channel doesn’t match any of my views. My TikTok do.
      Everyone is going over to TikTok nowadays to make money 😂

      @@charliesweb1k Thank you for your reply. I really didn't expect it since the video has been out so long. I won't be able to see anything posted on other social media platforms. TH-cam is the place I can get any information but again thank you for replying. I will start incubating (for the first time ever) duck eggs on Tuesday and was just trying to find out all I could before I start.

      @@charliesweb1k I'm going to try dry hatching 7 duck eggs. Do you dry hatch the entire 28 days or do you add water during lock down? Thank you!

    • @charliesweb1k
      @charliesweb1k ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tinabattaglia-winspear7008 I 100% dry incubate and dry hatch. I use 100% no water at all. They make their own humidity up to 84% on Hatch day. During incubation, the humidity is between 23 and 30% natural.
      Good luck.
