I don't know why people always overlook the emotional connection. It's not that there's never going to be other legends- of course there will. But no one will ever take BTS's place *in ARMY's hearts* . Analyzers just don't seem to get that last bit.

Well, the error in the logic there is that some of us don't really listen to or watch K-Pop. We only watch and listen to BTS. They are different, better, amazing, talented, musical Kings! I am glad that they will still be promoting their individual works gradually before enlisting, and also (it seems) that the Korean military will allow them access to social media. There is a reason BTS are so powerful.. ARMYs have single-handedly got BTS to the top when bighit was still small. We are not moving anywhere, we have projects coming up and also it is just 2-3 years. We are not going anywhere and no other group is ever gonna replace them.

I think Suga said it best, "There is no next BTS, just like BTS aren't 'the next Beatles, they are BTS'." Meaning that whoever comes next are their own thing and we shouldn't put the social pressure of them being the next BTS in their view. Let groups be who they are as their music should speak for themselves. And honestly, K-Pop is not going anywhere, life will go on and music will continue to be made.
Oh, it will go on, but I have zero interest in any other K-Pop groups. There are certainly talented groups, but BTS’ unique personalities, loyalty to each other, hardships they endured and commitment to social causes goes beyond music and is what has set them apart. They are lightning in a bottle.

SHINee has been through the worst but yet stood up and kept working, Doing their military service and pushing forward as a group. The one difference is the fan base. If any other group had 40 million fans to always vote them to win everything and buy albums there would be more groups known around the world. There are so many other great groups that deserve recognition. Can only hope this happens now with BTS in the military. Some will become great one day as BTS gets older. Just what happens in reality.

Frankly, I suspect that this will signal the beginning of the end, the Western Music industry is very fickle, especially as they didn't really welcome Kpop in the beginning BTS popularity forced a reluctance acceptance, I foresee that there departure, whether temporary or not will see renewed vigor to push Kpop out of that market that was heavily dominated by the USA artists. I've seen too many groups go by wayside in the Western Music market, since the 60's.

You can't manufacture a group to replace BTS! There is no other BTS & will never be. There's a lot of really good Kpop groups out there, BUT they will not have the type of success in the States like BTS. Everything about BTS is unique & can't be copied....EVER!
I don’t know how to say this. I’m not knocking K-pop, but I’ve tried listening to other groups and just can’t get into them. BTS’ music and whole dynamic is just different. It’s really quite amazing that these 7 particular boys were found and put together because the relationships they have and the way their personalities work with each other is so organic that it will never be replicated. I’m 45 years old and discovered BTS during the pandemic. I can’t even explain to people what got me so hooked because it just seemed to happen without my even recognizing it! The ability to do that to millions of fans from all over the world cannot be replicated! Think about how 7 normal boys in a small company from a small country took over the world! I’m a Beatles fan but don’t even think what the Beatles did can compare. Imagine if the Beatles sang in a language other than English. I can’t believe they would have become the music icons that they are. BTS did it singing a language that relatively few people on the world speak! I’m just rambling now. I wish I could better articulate my thoughts. BTS is irreplaceable and I’m not saying that just because I’m a fan. The success they have had cannot be manufactured and replicated on a whim. As an ARMY, I'm so used to listening to quality music, I won't settle for anything less. BTS music is meaningful, relatable, speaks positivity & is empowering. I'll rather continue supporting BTS individual projects than turn to other kpop.
That's the first reason they snagged me- the quality of the music. Even before I found them, I was so sick and tired of the dumbed-down, repetitive music that was all I heard on the radio anymore (ok, they'd throw a few 80s/90s songs in for flavor, but still.) I was a 70s child and an 80s teen, and I guess my expectations of music are set pretty high LOL!

What the government and also all those professional market analysts don't understand is the fact that ppl who have not been interested in KPop until now, will not be suddenly swayed to get into KPop. As long as the majority of KPop is poppy tunes and just lovey dovey music, it will remain a niche market globally. BTS has become such a global powerhouse not because they are KPop, but because of their sheer talent of its 7 members, their humility, their sincerity and the high quality of lyrics and music they produce. Over the years they were the voice of not only a generation but of ppl who have similar outlooks on life and needed the words to heal. They were never a boygroup who attracted screaming little teenagers for their little love songs. Look at the demographic of ARMY, 75% of us are over 25 years old. We are professionals, we have MONEY, we have TASTE and we expect quality. Does they really think that ARMY will deviate towards their lollipo groups now? Besides younger audience that are usually attracted to boybands in general and KPop in particular do not have the monetary means that a matuer fandom like ARMY has. SK will realize that. Korean companies that gained from the popularity of BTS will realize that.

No other groups can do like BTS did. BTS members have their unique styles. Fashion, charisma, energy, expression. They are so talented individuals. Music is so good. Other groups' songs can not attract to people. They lack something which BTS has. So, I will wait for my boys.
Bts & armt will never go away. I wont be surprised if they will release a full album 2023 and 2024 even being incomplete. The fundamental point for me is the music, there is no group whose music I like completely like bts, ofc the messages and their personalities and all I have experienced thanks to them are a plus, but all that came after I fell in love with their voices, rhythm, melodies and versatility. For me, no matter how talented other artists are or how admirable their path is, if I don´t like the voice or style through the whole discography I wont dedicate my money, or time to know more about them. BTS are the only artists who impress me everytime in their entirety, the only ones that have moved me this much, and I'll stay here waiting for more amazing art from them, whether it is as individuals or as a group

BTS has been actively releasing music as a group since nearly 10 years and no other group (kpop or western) is even slightly near them as compared to music charts, number of awards, streams throughout various music streaming platforms and overall influence. BTS never replaced anyone. They came and conquered on their own. And no one in the near or distant future will ever be able to replace achievements of BTS. BTS is the reason I became enchanted with South Korea and they heavily influenced my purchasing of everything from food to cars. They have been a sea of hope in a very sad world. The fact that they got screwed over, again, by short-sighted government officials is beyond infuriating. I will always support the members of BTS, but I am completely disenchanted with South Korea now. There will be no travel to or purchasing from SK companies from now on. International Army need to band together and let SK really know how important BTS is. Money talks, and they won’t be getting anymore of mine.
Good luck to all old and new groups, if they work hard and are genuine to themselves they will gain their followers. I will for sure have a listen here and there and maybe even follow some closer. BUT noone will replace BTS for me. They are uniqe to me, I will not be bored, I can finally take the time to catch up on so much that I never have the time for (but then again, whenever they took a break there was more stuff, so lol) and dive into their solo projects. Right, I feel that all the hate and controversy surrounding Bangtan's military service issue is due to the stupidity, selfishness and cowardice of the Korean government (especially the current government). That has contributed significantly and adversely affected Bangtan's image in Korea 😏😏😏😏😏. I really hate that and always hope Korea will pay for what they did to our boys. BTS has the power to go on forever af a group if they want since most Armys are already over 30 we still se them as young and successful. other groups has younger fans who tend to grow up and forget about them. that is what i did when i was young. looking back at it, it was nothing compared to how i feel about BTS. they are like glue
I think a lot of ARMYs were thinking we're gonna have a break but, now that I think about it, I think we're going to be just as busy. If HYBE has planned for this for years, imagine how much music and content they have in the vault. We will continue to be fed.
It's just... having content will be sweet, but I wanted them to be exempt because I hear such ...things about Korea's military. So I worry. Well, we're ARMY, we're protective...
There is no other group more interesting than BTS. Their music is way beyond K-pop. They not only sing songs, but their songs contain meaningful messages. They have managed not only to unite millions for the sole purpose of listening to their music, but they have also managed to become family. BTS has uplifted and influenced so many to do better in their lives. The dynamic of the group is no longer artists and fans. BTS has become like family. Imagine, a black fan feeling like seven Korean boys are like family. It doesn't stop with me, hundreds of different races and nationalities feel the same way. I will wait for them to finish their military service. Although I wish they could have done an alternative service, I understand their need to serve their country as they always have.
It's not like they're leaving forever.... they're coming back after two years and I'm confident they'll pick up right where they left off and ARMY will be just as strong if not more strong when they come back.

Just saying, even if some of these critics said some good stuff, BTS and ARMY never relied on critics, media, power or anything such. And other group may follow the footstep in western market, what drove BTS into huge success is their fandom ARMY and the boys passion, hardwork and ultimately the music and the mesage, what critics or people who hate BTS just because they think their group will get enough attention if BTS dissapears or Their fav group will replace BTS should actually stop the thinking as BTS is going in the military not BTS ARMY, and the bond we have with boys is not something you can break just because their gov never appreciated anything BTS did for them, ON contrary this will make the bond between ARMY and BTS even stronger as we have always fought with the system since we came in 2013 and we have always walked the path we have paved together. Summary to what I want to say is that NO OTHER GROUP IN THIS WORLD CAN REPLACE BTS BECAUSE BTS ARE ENLISTING IN MILITARY NOT BTS ARMY.
I aimed mindlessly around in Kpop off and on before BTS. Lots of fun bops. But none have ever inspired me to deep dive or stan. None have ever inspired or touched me. Till BTS. BTS is built differently and they don’t just make superb music… they inspire and move something inside of you. There’s no next BTS and it’s pretty out-of-touch for any label to think they can replicate the destiny of 7 amazing men coming together to move an entire Army of people. I’ve been alive for a long ass time and I can say BTS is a once-in-a-lifetime for me.
I do believe bts has opened doors and gotten people globally to pay attention to Korea and K-pop. So other groups may now have a slightly easier time getting seen….however, much of army, like myself, watch BTS..not K-pop as a whole. We will continue to support the boys individually or whatever we need to do for the next few years but that doesn’t mean any other group will necessarily get that support in the meantime. I like the other hybe groups in particular but not to the same extent and I think that’s true of many. It’s also not really fair to put that pressure on any group- to take over for bts- let them be themselves, there’s no replacing bts.
This is true...been recently diving into Enphyen and really liking their music, stage presence. But hope they dont feel pressured to become the next BTS at such young age.
The end of BTS means the end of the flourishing period of HYBE, whether they admit it or not! Sure the company has good groups, but not a single one is or will be like BTS. They are not only outstanding artists, they are very special as personalities as well!

They are involved in production choreography writing…starting from the bottom nobody wanted to give them a chance to be national treasure. Oh, it will go on, but I have zero interest in any other K-Pop groups. There are certainly talented groups, but BTS’ unique personalities, loyalty to each other, hardships they endured and commitment to social causes goes beyond music and is what has set them apart. They are lightning in a bottle.

SHINee has been through the worst but yet stood up and kept working, Doing their military service and pushing forward as a group. The one difference is the fan base. Frankly, I suspect that this will signal the beginning of the end, the Western Music industry is very fickle, especially as they didn't really welcome Kpop in the beginning BTS popularity forced a reluctance acceptance, I foresee that there departure, whether temporary or not will see renewed vigor to push Kpop out of that market that was heavily dominated by the USA artists. I've seen too many groups go by wayside in the Western Music market, since the 60's.

I don’t know how to say this. I’m not knocking K-pop, but I’ve tried listening to other groups and just can’t get into them. BTS’ music and whole dynamic is just different.
It’s really quite amazing that these 7 particular boys were found and put together because the relationships they have and the way their personalities work with each other is so organic that it will never be replicated.
I’m 45 years old and discovered BTS during the pandemic. I can’t even explain to people what got me so hooked because it just seemed to happen without my even recognizing it! The ability to do that to millions of fans from all over the world cannot be replicated!
Think about how 7 normal boys in a small company from a small country took over the world! I’m a Beatles fan but don’t even think what the Beatles did can compare. Imagine if the Beatles sang in a language other than English. I can’t believe they would have become the music icons that they are. BTS did it singing a language that relatively few people on the world speak!
I’m just rambling now. I wish I could better articulate my thoughts. BTS is irreplaceable and I’m not saying that just because I’m a fan. The success they have had cannot be manufactured and replicated on a whim.

As an ARMY, I'm so used to listening to quality music, I won't settle for anything less. BTS music is meaningful, relatable, speaks positivity & is empowering.
I'll rather continue supporting BTS individual projects than turn to other kpop.
That's the first reason they snagged me- the quality of the music. Even before I found them, I was so sick and tired of the dumbed-down, repetitive music that was all I heard on the radio anymore (ok, they'd throw a few 80s/90s songs in for flavor, but still.) I was a 70s child and an 80s teen, and I guess my expectations of music are set pretty high LOL!

What the government and also all those professional market analysts don't understand is the fact that ppl who have not been interested in KPop until now, will not be suddenly swayed to get into KPop. As long as the majority of KPop is poppy tunes and just lovey dovey music, it will remain a niche market globally.
BTS has become such a global powerhouse not because they are KPop, but because of their sheer talent of its 7 members, their humility, their sincerity and the high quality of lyrics and music they produce. Over the years they were the voice of not only a generation but of ppl who have similar outlooks on life and needed the words to heal. They were never a boygroup who attracted screaming little teenagers for their little love songs. Look at the demographic of ARMY, 75% of us are over 25 years old. We are professionals, we have MONEY, we have TASTE and we expect quality. Does they really think that ARMY will deviate towards their lollipo groups now?
Besides younger audience that are usually attracted to boybands in general and KPop in particular do not have the monetary means that a matuer fandom like ARMY has. SK will realize that. Korean companies that gained from the popularity of BTS will realize that.

No other groups can do like BTS did. BTS members have their unique styles. Fashion, charisma, energy, expression. They are so talented individuals. Music is so good. Other groups' songs can not attract to people. They lack something which BTS has. So, I will wait for my boys.

The fundamental point for me is the music, there is no group whose music I like completely like bts, ofc the messages and their personalities and all I have experienced thanks to them are a plus, but all that came after I fell in love with their voices, rhythm, melodies and versatility. For me, no matter how talented other artists are or how admirable their path is, if I don´t like the voice or style through the whole discography I wont dedicate my money, or time to know more about them. BTS are the only artists who impress me everytime in their entirety, the only ones that have moved me this much, and I'll stay here waiting for more amazing art from them, whether it is as individuals or as a group

BTS is the reason I became enchanted with South Korea and they heavily influenced my purchasing of everything from food to cars. They have been a sea of hope in a very sad world. The fact that they got screwed over, again, by short-sighted government officials is beyond infuriating. I will always support the members of BTS, but I am completely disenchanted with South Korea now. There will be no travel to or purchasing from SK companies from now on. Good luck to all old and new groups, if they work hard and are genuine to themselves they will gain their followers. I will for sure have a listen here and there and maybe even follow some closer. BUT noone will replace BTS for me. They are uniqe to me, I will not be bored, I can finally take the time to catch up on so much that I never have the time for (but then again, whenever they took a break there was more stuff, so lol) and dive into their solo projects.
I'm glad they took this military decision in their own hands finally and shut up all the haters and government, who wasn't even brave and responcible enough to make whatever decision in any direction, but just kept dragging it on. Right, I feel that all the hate and controversy surrounding Bangtan's military service issue is due to the stupidity, selfishness and cowardice of the Korean government (especially the current government). There is no other group more interesting than BTS. Their music is way beyond K-pop. They not only sing songs, but their songs contain meaningful messages. They have managed not only to unite millions for the sole purpose of listening to their music, but they have also managed to become family. BTS has uplifted and influenced so many to do better in their lives. The dynamic of the group is no longer artists and fans. BTS has become like family. Imagine, a black fan feeling like seven Korean boys are like family. It doesn't stop with me, hundreds of different races and nationalities feel the same way. I will wait for them to finish their military service. Although I wish they could have done an alternative service, I understand their need to serve their country as they always have.

And other group may follow the footstep in western market, what drove BTS into huge success is their fandom ARMY and the boys passion, hardwork and ultimately the music and the mesage, what critics or people who hate BTS just because they think their group will get enough attention if BTS dissapears or Their fav group will replace BTS should actually stop the thinking as BTS is going in the military not BTS ARMY, and the bond we have with boys is not something you can break just because their gov never appreciated anything BTS did for them, ON contrary this will make the bond between ARMY and BTS even stronger as we have always fought with the system since we came in 2013 and we have always walked the path we have paved together. I aimed mindlessly around in Kpop off and on before BTS. Lots of fun bops. But none have ever inspired me to deep dive or stan. None have ever inspired or touched me. Till BTS. BTS is built differently and they don’t just make superb music… they inspire and move something inside of you. There’s no next BTS and it’s pretty out-of-touch for any label to think they can replicate the destiny of 7 amazing men coming together to move an entire Army of people. I’ve been alive for a long ass time and I can say BTS is a once-in-a-lifetime for me.
I do believe bts has opened doors and gotten people globally to pay attention to Korea and K-pop. So other groups may now have a slightly easier time getting seen….however, much of army, like myself, watch BTS..not K-pop as a whole. We will continue to support the boys individually or whatever we need to do for the next few years but that doesn’t mean any other group will necessarily get that support in the meantime. I like the other hybe groups in particular but not to the same extent and I think that’s true of many. It’s also not really fair to put that pressure on any group- to take over for bts- let them be themselves, there’s no replacing bts.
This is true...been recently diving into Enphyen and really liking their music, stage presence. But hope they dont feel pressured to become the next BTS at such young age.
