What marvels me is how with all these beautiful rich cultural right that makes us who we are, someone will still say that she is not fully married until she does the so called white wedding. I don't know where our people got that erroneous idea from. This is the only wedding approved & sanctioned in the bible. This is beautifully displayed. Our culture is indeed rich. Thanks Asy.

And everyone is talking about Igbo bride price. I am from Imo state. No one asked for these list during my traditional marriage. If you go to Akwa Ibom, it's same thing as here.
Moral of my comment: It's not only Igbo that pay much for marriage.
BTW, respect to our riverine neighbors for keeping the tradition alive.
AKWA NMIRI and AKWETE cloths originated from Ndoki, Azunmiri, infact today's Ukwa LGA of Abia state. Most Igbos sadly don't patronize these hand woven cloths any more. Even certain food like cassava fries [ AKARA JIAKPU] and EPITI [ corn pudding] are longer making it to Igbo tables but this people kept it alive. Bravo!!!
