  • I decided to texlax my natural hair. My natural hair is 4a and I've been natural since I big chopped 5 years ago. I used the ORS Texlax and Stretch Semi Straightening System.

    I think everyone's reverting to relaxing! I tried to buy a relaxer kit today, and they were all sold out🤣🤣

      Yes because what's the point of having natural hair and keeping it under a wig or in protective styles all the time? Defeats the purpose

    • @francoisehesse8397
      @francoisehesse8397 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      @@bethy4884 Having said that, I eventually texlaxed and then later ended up putting it in a protective style anyway🤣🤣 Hear me out..........
      The fact its easier to handle now though has given me MORE styling options and less hassle overall thoughx

    I'm natural. BUT the beautiful thing about being texlax is it doesn't revert back when it's straight. From what I've seen. Best of both worlds 🌺

    Looks good. I've been natural for like three years. Going natural about 10 years back in forth with cuting and growing my hair. Finally, I decided to textlax to loosen my curl to make it more manageable especially since I've been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis.

      Try using a mild relaxer! My hair would be considered texlaxed but I just use a mild lye relaxer, the results are always consistent and I don't lose my whole curl pattern.

    same. I textlaxed in MAY for convenience. It was giving me 4a hair. i was doing wash n gos and all just QUICKER. i have fine hair so i try to hold on to texture for thickness. This touch up, i do go a little straighter but with texture.

    • @iAmTeshaMarie
      @iAmTeshaMarie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      What product did you use to texlax? I think next time I’ll leave mine in a couple minutes longer instead of washing it out right away because my hair is still very thick 😂

    • @interlacedvibes
      @interlacedvibes 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@iAmTeshaMarie I went to a stylist. I can't do it on my own. This time she smoothed it down the length of my hair to go straighter without overprocessing. So I'll just claim purely relaxed now. lol

    Chileeeee, I'm tired of the stuggle!! My hair is 4b/4c and waist length..I DREAD wash day because my hair regimen takes FOREVER!! I'm also sick of doing protective styles.
    I think texlaxing is a great alternative because I just want my hair to be more manageable. It's also way more affordable than getting keratin treatments.

    • @iAmTeshaMarie
      @iAmTeshaMarie  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Girl I hear you! I say do what is best for you and your lifestyle. I also got tired of doing protective styles. Protecting my hair only to not wear it 🥴.
      Since I texlaxed my hair has been way more manageable and I’ve cut down on the time I spend doing it. And I love that it still has a lot of texture💕

    Hey, I know I’m a little late but I just had a question about which product I should use from this company. Firstly, I am not of African descent. I understand that these products are not meant for other hair types but lately I’ve just been very frustrated with my hair and I’m just totally out of options. My curl pattern is probably 3b. Recently, I purchased the regular, normal strength straightening product because that was all they had on the shelf at my local store. Obviously, I’m not sure if you would really know how to deal with non-African hair, but would you recommend for me to purchase the one you used in this video (the semi-straightening product) or the one I already purchased?

    • @iAmTeshaMarie
      @iAmTeshaMarie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could do either one. If you use the regular one just don’t leave it on very long.
