The dream would be if they established a separate studio dedicated to finishing these cancelled films, I'd call it, "DreamWorks Vault Studios". But alas, not meant to be.

This boxset looks incredible! Dreamworks is my absolute favourite animation company outside of Disney and Pixar! They were the first animated company to implement adult orientated humour and comedy into their movies and I absolutely adore them for it!!!

I feel the opposite at times. Some of your Best Buy and Walmart exclusives are amazing and feel very left out. The hunger games steel book 4k Collection, for example.
Warner Brothers should do this with some of their older movies like The Quest for Camelot, Cat's Don't Dance, The Chipmunks Adventure 1987, An American Tail, All Dogs Go to Heaven, The Secret of NIMH, The Land Before Time, the Iron Gaint, and also Rover Dangerfield!
This boxset is kind of gonna feel pointless within the next year as the bad guys and puss in boots 2 are releasing in 2022! Two more animated classics added to their canon and I couldn’t be anymore excited!
Unfortunately this is the case with basically every franchise. There’ll never be a “complete” or “definitive” box set of anything as long as there’s new movies. However, this will still sell, and will be welcomed by a lot of fans who want a quick, easy, and affordable way to get all the current movies.
Joseph King of Dreams was included in Random Space Media's 2D collection, I have it. Spirit was released on Blu-ray in Australia before by Fox but Universal has never reissued it until this collection. Antz is the one that's on Blu-ray for the first time here. It's a great collection I only wish they did it sooner. I already brought all their collections with the exception of the one from last year and have been buying the the ones they do release in 4K so I'm still without Antz.
Spirit has been out of print for a very, very long time. Hence why I singled it out here. I singled out Joseph as it is never considered as part of the DreamWorks “canon” and is a rare inclusion in the boxset.

Not sure why Kung Fu Panda seems to have the central and biggest image on the box. Shrek is still their flagship character. He is recognized all over the world. I like them both, but Shrek is their Mickey Mouse. It looks cool. I always felt DreamWorks should have their own streaming service.

Disney Animation has 60 films, Encanto being number 60 and Pixar has 27 films, Turning Red and Lightyear being number 26 and 27. This is great because I'm a big fan of DreamWorks but sadly I'm British so us in the UK will get a similar set just without Chicken Run (since Pathé has European distribution rights to that film).

Personally I wasn’t the biggest fan of Joseph king of dreams. It always felt like a watered down version of prince of Egypt. The ending felt really predicted and corny too. I know it sounds weird but I think it’s pretty obvious why it went straight to dvd and not theatrical. Plus when he was younger Ben Affleck wasn’t always on my watch list but has definitely matured as an actor over the years! Batman anyone?
