Norway boasts an extensive network of airports, which are remarkably well-designed. However, the cost of air travel can be prohibitively expensive, particularly in the northern regions. For instance, flying a mere 200km from one airport to another can cost up to 14,000 NOK (approximately 1,300 USD). Similarly, while the railway system is operational, it suffers from high ticket prices and outdated infrastructure.
In contrast, the bus services in Bergen and its surrounding areas are quite efficient. Unfortunately, this is not the case in other parts of the country. For example, in Gjøvik, which is two hours away from Oslo, buses to the capital only run once a day. I currently live half an hour from Gjøvik, but due to misaligned bus schedules, if I wish to travel to Oslo by bus, I would have to arrive four hours early or wait until the following day.

You got to keep them on their tows, don't want to let the the government and stuff know they're doing a good job or they might get complacent and stop trying so hard.

The vast majority of Norwegians are too ultranationalist to complain out loud. Terrified their mail and other services might get hijacked by stasi-like trolls defending Norway against the foundations of reality. It arouses them to harass those who refuse to comply and pretend it's all so wonderful. A very odd culture. Like a weird religion on the periphery of civilisation. So many taboos to help folk forget all about the many social problems Norway's in denial about. The 'richest' and 'happiest' in the world. Up to their eyeballs with among the world's highest levels of household debt where food banks and shop lifting daily essentials get more common by the day. Take your pill and be a good Norwegian. LOL!

9:04 There are at least three spelling mistakes here, when it comes to city names.. Vadsø, Narvik and Trondheim is the correct spelling. It is not your fault, I am just pointing that out. Like your channel very much. You deserve more subs

I think we where just lucky seeing the abundance we have of natural resources. Easy for Russian to take us out. Just hit out major electricity plants etc. Lol. And yes electricity is super expensive here. Especially during winter. And during summer they had to ration our water usage several years In a row. Thankfully we have one of the cleanest tap water and you can. even drink from most springs if high up in the mountains hiking.

Might be well designed, but the road tolls are awful.

Historicly we have always had a competative advantage in powerconsuming industries due to *Low Electrisity prices*.
This has somewhat changed lately, as our grid had been linked up with other european contrys (UK included), so the electrisity prices is now more in line with the rest of europe. (but there are still some regional variasion due to limited capasity in the national grid to transport large amounts of electrisity between regions..)
btw; I pay my taxes with a smile :)

The map of the railroads is completly wrong! the railroad stops in Bodø, so it only cover hafv the country. we have one railroad station in Narvik, but it only connects to Sweeden.

The "ferry free" E-39 from Kristiansand to Trondheim is a futile pipedream which will never happen.... Stavanger - Bergen is allready been downsized, and in practice, ruled out in, the "national road planning"- scheme the next 15-20 years....

It seems efficient and well designed untill you try to travel north.Railway barely gets you half of the distance north and tunnels especially are old, too narrow and flat out dangerous to drive on. Even though the Northern half of the country has a lot less population density we also get prioritated a lot less. The main northern road has been delayed and cut from budgets for over 10 years by now. You should really look at how the regional differences are in Norway. Especially between the North and south.

Norwegian railroad network is hopelessly outdated, with thech dating back to the 50's. Taking the train from Oslo to Stavanger today takes as long time as it did 80 years ago, while the road-network has been updated constantly. Presently driving the same leg by bus saves you 3-4 hours compared to taking the train. The reason for this is that norway is too sparesly populated to really cover the expenses of updating the railroads

We need more airports all around the country, We need a change in who deals with or is allowed to alocate money to build and fix our roads, The railways are for the most part always either being upgraded or changed or stopped because of regions and stuff like that, the further out of the Major cities you get the shittier it is, it's basically perfect as far as the eyes of the government can visually see with their own eyes, where their eyes fail them so do the roads, Rails, Airports, buss, Taxi and Boat travel. there's too many corners being cut at the extended cost of our Taxes per person. Meaning they build a road, the rest of the people who will be using said road gives our feedback, get ignored for the most part and is shown to be 99-100% correct 3-5 years later. but overall. Besides there being way too much money going into the pockets of absolutely retarded politicians. it's generally alright. but saying sustainable and efficient is pure bullshit. it's far from either, that being said, we do take care of the nature around us, which is a good thing, isn't going to do anything or help halt the global-warming we helped speed up by a few 100K years. but ya know. it is what it is.

I've been living in Norway for over 10 years. It's shite. Norway has by far the worst onshore economy in Europe. The Greece economy is far more advanced than Norway's, in terms of number of gaps in expertise. Greece lacks in about 20 areas and Norway lacks in >120. Do the maths. There are very few career opportunities in Norway. Search the job market. The most recent (2023) international expat survey ranks Norway as one of the worst places to live, coming 52nd out of 53 countries. Norway is not well designed at all. Most of its infrastructure, roads, public buildings, including schools, is in an awful state of disrepair, probably not having been updated much since the 1970s. BS glossy PR for vanity projects in Norway is quite ridiculous. The Norway government really need to start investing where Norway needs it most instead of BS. They really are so incompetent and corrupt.

The roads in Norway sucks! And when this roads are finished it will cost a fortune to drive on it! Don't understand why every one is making a video about this topic? Norway is good at many things, but building roads is something we really can't do!

Norways echonomy is good on paper. But if you speak to individuals, the average non-rich person is now struggling putting food on the table because everything is overpriced.
yes, we have elecricity, we have oli, but we are selling all of it. And who need to pay for it?
    Norwegian people.
Its really hard to be a middleclass person in Norway now.
Me myself, I have a disability, and I cant afford to travel anywhere, cant afford a car, cant afford a dentist, and cant afford any other living situation than a little place.
So yes, its beautiful, ect ect. But if you talk to the ordinary person in Norway these days.... We cant eat properly. We cant afford the best care for our childs.
The elecricity costs often the same amount each month that we are being payed for work or disability.
Its lonely. Its not good. We are getting close to USA, with a HUGE gap in poor vs rich.
    Norway is a lie.
