I got lucky and found a rolling stones voodoo lounge 1994 tour shirt for $1 in a big pile of shirts at my local swap meet..I wasn't sure if it was a true vintage but for a dollar it was no hesitation to pull the trigger

I am the only one that washes my shirt inside out? I always heard it helps save the graphic on the shirt.

I’d be curious to see fake tags next to real tags... so when you see a fake take a photo and hold it up next to a genuine some time- that’d be great

Great Vid, y’all. I can’t believe how rare the single stitch shirts are in another area. I’ve watched enough of your vids to know you all run across them quite frequently, even without bulk buys, but they’re very hard to find on the other side of the state. I know you can’t always be first so someone may get them before you, but not ALL the time. I wonder sometimes if the GW peeps are collectors 😉

Thanks for all of the info. I've definitely struggled with this. Question - I recently picked up what I believe to be a vintage tee. It has the Fruit of the Loom tag you showed and is single stitch. There is no copywrite date on it. It is a red tee with front graphic "Cappio Quality Iced Cappuccino" and rear graphic with "The Thrill is the Chill" and a bearded beatnick wearing sunglasses and a beret (very cool). Condition is good with one exception. The previous owner made it into a crop top. They hemmed 6" of the bottom. Should I unhem it to make it full length or leave it as it is? I am worried that if I do it will have a crease that can't be ironed out. Any thoughts on how I should price it?

I have a question about a Liquid blue T-shirt. It is one you have probably seen, and as per your tip here, The tag is a true Liquid blue. It’s single stitch and in awesome condition. A wolf T-shirt full front and back. But the size is XXL. I was wondering if the sizing being larger than the desirable XL would change the price point. Please and thank you for any advice!

Good Video, but I wonder if there are a fakes, I mean if someone bought a ton of vintage plain T-Shirts, printed popular designs on them, faded using some mixture of bleach or something, and is selling as true vintage. And if there is a way to tell them ?

@@RALLIROOTS , it made me think, that maybe I should start experimenting with it. Look for some blank vintage T's and play around with 2Pac prints, and fading process .I could even sell them as a Homage

I found a couple of those vintage Liquid Blue shirts at my local Goodwill two years ago. $1.99 each. The dueling dragons got me around $60. The other I don't remember for sure. Maybe $30.
Str8 flex let me get that Nintendo when you get tired of it! Also a good thing to look for when looking for vintage is made in the USA
sadly some of those I would had used for rags and never thought they would sell. If the neckline is dirty or worn, I generally use them as rags. I wouldn't think people would buy them.

I'm having trouble with the cost of the mid tier shirts. You said they should sell for $25 to $30 each. Let's say that every single one sells for 30. After cogs (12.50), shipping (4.50) and fees (3.50), we should profit $9.50 per shirt. If they sell for 25, then $4.50 per shirt. Doesn't seem like enough profit for the amount of energy/time/investment based on what you have told us about for when to pick up a item at a Thrift store even...
Davis Streit wholesale is different, even at a $5 net per shirt that’s a 40% net profit, which is amazing for wholesale. This is not thrifting, time is a huge factor, how long would it take you to thrift 40 quality shirts? If stores were open..This is 40 shirts delivered directly to you.

@@davisstreit5564 no worries :) it's just a mindset change, even for our business, I can go thrift for 8 hours and maybe find 25ish good quality products or I can pay up, still make money and order 1000 items from my phone. Both work, both make money but wholesale is how you scale beyond the buy one item at a time thrifting mentality.

Premium boxes were 10 item lots, mid tier were 40 item lots. the premium boxes have very high value shirts in them

Uggggg...Very bummed out. I really wanted to buy 1 of each of the premium and mid-tier lot. Literally the very second 9:00 p.m. hit I clicked on the premium lot, started the payment process, and it said it was sold out. I hurried and went tot the mid-tier and that said it was sold out as well. I just can't imagine how that many people got in as quick as I did? Oh well. I did get a chance to get some great merchandise to sell when I was a Ralli Roots student over the past month. I will try next time~~~

Honestly man, I don't see the point of the wholesale boxes if they're going to be this impossible to get. I don't even see how they sold out so quick unless some point had the direct to purchase link in advance or something. I refreshed the split second the page loaded with the pay button, clicked and they were already gone. In less than a second. I'm not knocking it. I love the idea. But I doubt I'll try again just to be disappointed. Best of luck though

If a movie promo shirt is not dated on a single stitch shirt does it mean it’s a reprint? I have a Godzilla movie promo shirt with no date, the Godzilla movie from 98
I’ve been on the lookout for this Rainbow Brite shirt that says Made in the 80’s. I thought I found it the other day... screen print tag. I guess they recently started reprinting them. Of course the title said ‘vintage.’ Now companies are starting to make their shirts single stitch again. Calvin Klein came out with a line of single stitches t-shirts. Can be deceiving!

Found it ...they were called Hypercolor...they sell between $30-$70 by the looks of it. I remember they cost about $30 back in the day.
