Now go watch an interview with her on a regular talk show and you'll see how this show was next level late night and that Craig is a master of the craft.
It’s impossible not to love these two, both together and individually. But here, They have some of the best natural comic timing chemistry that I’ve ever seen on a modern late night show. Think you’d have to go back to Joan Rivers and Johnny Carson to see something similar. They’re both riding the same wavelength big time. And Paulson, why not a comedian, has a magnificent underutilized sense of humor and is extremely quick; she’s a natural comedic thinker, just like Craig. She’d be so good doing comedy. What they have together though is total organic synergy, which is impossible to make happen or manufacture. And they genuinely enjoy each other and make each other crack the hell up😂 they’re both goofy yet extremely intelligent, very comfortable in a steady stream of improvisational consciousness, both are very open and non defensive, both are completely without pretentiousness, play off each other brilliantly, and both aren’t afraid to get a bit naughty😂; which is a very rare total of combinations for someone to have. How cool would it be if these two permanently hosted a late night show together? Omg it would be pure gold. Better than anything, and MUCH better than a lot, like Kelly and Ryan 👎😂

I'm completely in love with her. She's just so gorgeous, but very intelligent, funny and real. Seems to be resisting the typical Hollywood ego stroke. The best line came from Craig in the last segment, "I've been a vegan for 3 weeks now, except for Saturday when I had a steak." That's genuinely funny!
Craig Ferguson demonstrates the proper way to flirt to be well received. No sense of hidden objectives, no agenda, no coercion. Just the intent to let someone know they're attractive and appreciated, and to have fun with it.

She's the girl I wish I would have met during the time frame when these took place. Fabulous actress, super adorable, cool woman. How do you connect so much with a person in a ten minute conversation?
If you watch several hundred interviews (lol... mea culpa) then you see Ferguson has a rich but not unlimited set of tricks' and routines he relies on heavily and repeats often. And then he's also very clever on top of that. But, he fakes it a lot. He says he knows things or has seen things which he hasn't. And he's often very agreeable about things I don't think he really agrees with. I've seen dozens of 2nd and 3rd interviews where he's acting like he remembers the prior interviews and then he's caught and it's clear he doesn't remember any of it. In some cases the guests don't call him on it and he basically repeats his "standard" flirty 1st interview and conversational stack*.
I dated a woman similar to Ferguson and it's entrancing because she literally became/seemed like your dream girl when it was really an act. It took over a decade to see who she really was and what she really thought, believed, liked, and disliked. I liked that part of her too but it was *very* hidden and buried.
I also knew a girl in college who was like him- very happy, giggly, witty comments- and after a few years she opened up one night and said it was all and act and she was always depressed and it was just a mask she put on. I don't think Ferguson is depressed and I think we get to see a lot of the real person but I think he also still relies on that set of tricks and routines.
*A conversational stack is a set of topics you run thru with strangers in small talk until you find something *they* clearly love or a shared common interest and then you focus on that aspect. It's a Dale Carnegie thing.

Thanks man! (no the origins, but one of its appearances, it had many appearances in the last season, 2014). It's genius, it later developed into more flies, we had the Jimmy Fallon and the Craig Ferguson flies too and some more.
It's amazing how well their personalities matches. It's a damn shame she didn't appeared more times on the show
